I feel extremely grateful to watch this cast for one final time before most of them fly the nest, many of them were there for my first ever visit last December, and it really was wonderful see the progress. I can’t remember the last time I’ve felt so connected to so many cast members, it was a fantastic night. I did see a woman in the box behaving very erratically throughout the entire performance but I didn’t realise it was Sonia Friedman. She was very distracting as I was at the end of row G in the Dress Circle and she in my peripheral vision the whole time.
Liisi didn’t feel quite ready for me when she started out in the role of Deena, but last night she was shining. She has now fully developed the character and owns the part fantastically. Adam is just perfect for Jimmy, and he completely nails the quirks and character brilliantly. I can’t imagine anyone else in the role. Asmeret is equally fantastic as Lorrell still, I love how she plays her completely differently to Ibinabo (who was equally as good) and she totally owns her moment in “It’s My Party”. Lily Fraser still grated on me unfortunately. There’s something about her voice that really bothers me but it’s hard to put my finger on. Joshua as CC felt very diluted and unfortunately not a patch on Tyrone. Amber is and always will be, my Effie. She blew the roof off when I first saw her, and her performance always gives me all the feels and tingles necessary for the role. She plays Effie with a greater sadness, particularly during “Family” and “I am Telling You...”.
I wish the cast every success in their next ventures and hope the three original Dreams make it to Broadway with this, they truly deserve it.

Lily has clearly had way too much free time, she said on Instagram has written a full legnth play in the time she was at Dreamgirls.

Lily has clearly had way too much free time, she said on Instagram has written a full legnth play in the time she was at Dreamgirls. Okay. But she has one of the best attendance in the whole show. She barely missed shows. Mabye after a show she would work her arse off all night long to write a play. I get you don’t like her or her performance of Michelle Morris but that doesn’t mean you should diss her work or comment how much spare time she had, lily only gives you abit of her personal life not all of it, just remember that she did it and it takes a lot of hardwork

Lily has clearly had way too much free time, she said on Instagram has written a full legnth play in the time she was at Dreamgirls. Hopefully it is a "fictional" backstage drama about bitter rivalry between a star, a standby, a cover, an alternate and understudy coveting a star role in a musical production. A high drama intervention by the high powered producer with a bottle of vodka in one hand a knife in the other brings Act One to a dramatic close.. setting up Act Two for scenes of kidnapping, hostage negotiations between the producer and the alternate, violence, sexual harassment, catfights and technical difficulties!

I am one of the few on here who has consistantly been like she is sickening, she looks amazing, I like her as Michelle, she was great, I even tweeted about how sassy and fabulous she was. So I have zero hatred toward her. I thought she was great. Aim that to the others on here who didn't like her please and thank you. Secondly, I was making a joke on the fact she has little stagetime in the show, so therefore had alot of free time to write a play backstage. I am fully aware she has rarely missed a show and I know she works hard, but she had little to do in the show so she had the time to write a play.

I don't like her at all and thought she pretty much sucked from the beginning..BUT..she is also a full ensemble member throughout the show before she becomes Michelle in the final scene of Act I.

Oh I know, I saw her in the opening scene, and the Party scene, and I'm pretty sure she is one of the white women who are not actually white in the Cadillac Car number. But still, few and far between in Act 1, she had time to write a play between scenes.

I was totally confused as saw something on Instagram which made me think the show was closing but having read the last few comments I'm now pretty sure it was just the last night for the original cast, phew!

On the Dreamgirls website Marisha and Moya billed as ‘Effie White’. Karen as ‘Effie White at certain performances’. I was just coming to say that. Surely that’s not fair is they are doing similar amount of performances? Maybe Karen won’t have set dates then or something? Anyone going tonight or this week - please please post an understudy list for the new cast! Thanks!

Joe Aaron Reid has hurt his ankle so won't be going on tonight, guessing that means Rohan Richards on as Curtis for the new cast's opening night.

Just popped by out of curiosity, no new photos outside. Just the gold design of the posters and an updated photo with, and I don't know if I imagined this, a slight blue or silver tint?

Very disappointed in the schedule, advertised as a shared role yet it seems Karen is still an alternate (can’t believe how they’ve treated her) and Moya may as well be first alternate.

It does seem harsh on Karen but also i imagine she would have known this when signing on for another year and so must be somewhat okay with it. Not only that, but let's not forget this is her WE/Theatre debut and it's in one of the biggest shows in the West End playing one of the most iconic female musical theatre roles?. Whether she plays one night or 8 shows, this is an incredible opportunity for her and indeed anyone. Let's face it, she was hardly known before this despite her x-factor appearance. She's lucky regardless of how many shows she gets to do.
