I saw the show tonight was was talking to an usher who said Marisha would do Mon-Thurs & Sat eve. With Karen on Sat mat and Moya on Wed mat and Friday. But Moyas first night will be Wednesday night. Not sure if this is accurate but guess so?

Not sure if this is accurate but guess so? That could be right, as Moya tweeted someone saying that Friday is a definite, maybe Marisha and Moya will sometimes swap on a Wednesday then

Amber has an amazing amazing voice. I also thought her portrayal was much better than when I saw her earlier in the run, the acting stringer with more emotion. I also though Lissis voice sounded a lot stronger as well. And Adam Bernard is just brilliant.
I did not take to the CC.
I was very happy to be there and it was a atmosphere I never experienced before. It was electric with cheering and ovations all over the place.
Can I ask, when all the dreams are singing for the last time and Deena says she promised not to cry...that's scripted right? But not then Lorrell saying "yes you did Deena" and laughing? It came across like that was an organic thing cus they are genuinely emotional but I couldn't remember whether I was right and what was supposed to be there.
There were no speeches which was disappointing. Amber seemed really excited rather than crying it anything.

That moment at the end is scripted in the show, but I always imagined it would be extra powerful final show! Glad I hadn't missed any speeches or anything, sounds like with cheering and ovations everywhere, a normal night at Dreamgirls! 😅😅

So, I think I'm over Dreamgirls.
This reminded me of the first preview. I sat in practically the same chair. I sat in K29 tonight, I think I must have sat in either J or K29 on the first preview just about a year from now. Sonia Friedman sat in the same box on the far right, and behaved erratically. Mid-standing ovations galore. Been there done that.
The singing is still flawless, despite Amber's very Disney Channel Jr. acting. Yes, new CC is noticeably weak. The staging is very clunky- despite a very fierce Steppin into the Bad Side.

But it was as great. I think the biggest one was for Listen. I think the show stopped for five minutes of crazy. And they (Amber and Liisi) were sobbing into each other. Random sighting of some people from Emmerdale. Just thought I'd add that in after my Efron sighting earlier. Lol

So was it not particularly any more emotional or full out than usual? Because obviously not being there I cant judge, so correct me if wrong please, but just sounds like a regular night there! I was expecting more crazy!

I was expecting more crazy! Tonight was my third visit and it was far from the normal atmosphere. It was palpable tonight, with more support and longer applause was held for the biggest numbers. Tonight has made me really appreciate how much I adore this cast (with the exception of the new CC). It may well have been my last visit tonight too.

The atmosphere was fantastic - much more buzzing than when I saw the show in January. This was my first (and last) time seeing Amber - my god, she’s amazing. Her voice is incomparable, so versatile and powerful. Yes she doesn’t quite nail the acting but i thought she did a good job with the character. It was my first time seeing Liisi too, and I thought she was OK in Act One but really impressed me in Act Two, where she was much stronger. Miles better than Lily Frazer. Asmeret nails Lorrell, which wasn’t a surprise to me as I loved her as Nabulungi, and Adam J Barnard is still brilliant. The new CC doesn’t even come close to Tyrone, and I still don’t like the guy who plays Curtis - his acting’s not bad but his singing always feels slightly off and I can’t tell why. Might just be personal taste.
Anyway, I’m so so glad that I got to see Amber before she left, but I’m not sure I’ll be rushing to see the show for a third time. I would quite like to see Tosh as Jimmy, but that’s not enough to get me back there. Maybe if they get a new Curtis at the next cast change.

But the real question is, did anyone other than Amber get entrance applause, or what she the only one people cared about for the most part? I mean, her entrance os designed for applause 😅

Did I just say that? Yikes. Mildly racist. Adam J Bernard.

Does anyone know who was the girl wearing a black suit (and maybe purple blazer?) who was also in the curtain calls? She was out of costume. I saw her earlier during intermission in the sound booth on my way to the boys room. The sound engineer was full on weeping and was being comforted by his co-worker, as was this girl who was in the curtain calls.

There are two old people on the train next to me complaining about how the audience was too loud at Dreamgirls tonight. 😅😅

Pretty sure it was Candace Furbert who left the show like 2 weeks ago, she was the old Charlene.
