Marisha is on tonight and there's some sort of press night going on.
The screen in the foyer as you go down the stairs is also now playing a video, of both Marisha and Karen singing AIATYING (not at the same time)

Obviously pushing their alternates now they are probably on more than Amber. I'd bet Marisha gets the gig full time.
Does anyone have any suggestions for the new Deena?

Does anyone have any suggestions for the new Deena? I always thought this girl Jade Novah would make an amazing Deena. Although pop backgrounds have a bad track record with this show..

There's the trailer on in the foyer - whether that ends up being released online I'm not sure!

From the official twitter account, it looks like last night was some sort of gala performance where the cast mingled and some minor celebs were in - any clues as to why? Showing off Marisha before announcing her takeover maybe?

According to the Evening Standard, it said it was a press night for the new Effie White, Marisha Wallace.

Yeah it was a press night for Marisha. I gather they're going to be doing more promotion around her as alternate.

She deserves more Karen looking stunning as always. She's a classy queen for smiling and taking the night like a champ, because if it were me, I wouldn't even be able to force one.

I suspect this: www.standard.co.uk/news/londoners-diary/londoners-diary-beard-brings-in-a-new-bronze-age-with-ebay-a3608636.html. Here is the relevant part: 'Tony’s Dreamgirl is not who he tweets she is IT WAS quite the song and dance at the Dreamgirls press night last night as stars of TV and radio watched a new Effie White take to the Savoy Theatre stage. Trevor Nelson and Penny Smith were in fine spirits, as were Tony Blackburn, Martine McCutcheon and Claire Sweeney, watching Marisha Wallace make her West End debut as Effie, though it seems the BBC Radio 2 DJ was unaware of the cast change. “If you want to see a cast bubbling with talent @dreamgirlsldn is the show,” Tony tweeted. “Great songs and the voice of Amber Riley who is just brilliant.” Erm...' Amazingly the tweet is still up!

Has Amber Riley left? Or is she going to leave earlier than November?

Is there a chance Amber has quietly left? It just seems off there would a be press day for the alternate, that is then reported as a "cast change" and "new effie" and the DG themselves tweet a pic of Marisha with the other dreams as "our dreamgirls"...it seems a bit official just for her as an alternate.

Very sad. I didn't know about her but it seems Amber has posted about her on Facebook in the past.
