Ha ha, you're not the first to pick up on that! I rocked a Scouse accent many years before I had even ever heard of Blood Brothers. Funnily enough, I was married to a Scouser, had family and friends in the area and all, but didn't hear of the show until after I had moved away from the area to Bristol. 😂 I'm just going home. 😀 Where you singing “Bright New Day” during the packing? More like 'Where the f... is...? What the f... is this? I can't coooooooope!'. ruby can confirm. I think she's had a few million texts from me this week regarding packing frustrations.

I'm shocked, and with Lyn Paul as Mrs J as well (TBH, I still need to book myself. Seeing LP as Mrs J is not to be missed). Regarding the birthday dilemma, buy tickets and call them a present!

Saw the film Late Night and it's very funny. I do think a lot of critics missed the point that Emma Thompson's character is meant to be the Miranda Priestly/Anna Wintour of talk shows, she's meant to be more like a female Letterman or Leno where they were stuck in their ways and didn't try and to innovate or freshen things up but I think by not making her a heartless bitch, you do root for her and want her to succeed along with Mindy Kaling's Molly who at the other end of the spectrum.

Put my "bucket list" blog about my helicopter trip over London, now. A great read Monkey. Really felt I was up there with you...which, in all honesty, I'm not that sure was actually a good thing, being a bit of a wussy flyer.😱 But I did read to the end and was delighted to discover you not only survived but thoroughly enjoyed it. However, I am going to take a week or ten to recover from the bit where you describe the helicopter ACTUALLY STOPPING IN MIDAIR🤯😱🤯😱🤯😱 Thanks for posting. (Well, apart from that bit in spoiler tags.😉)

Saw and loved it yesterday. Formulaic but very well done and absolutely "my" sort of film. So refreshing to see something enjoyable after recent films about which critics have raved but which left me unmoved and even bored.

Film critics are their own special breed - I didn't think X Men Dark Phoenix was as bad as they made out either. It isn't good, but Sophie Turner is (much to my surprise!) and she just about manages to hold the film together, along with Jennifer Lawrence. The bad reviews are really reflective of the appalling script and editing, neither of which the actors can control!

Perhaps someone here on the board who lives in America will tell me - Is it normal for there to be full graduation ceremonys with gowns & mortar boards for under 5's leaving nursery school? Just been sent film of my youngest grandson who will be 5 tomorrow graduating in full outfit - in blue. They all look so cute but very strange.

Out for a meal this afternoon. A couple near me were not at all happy with the fact that they couldn't sit at their usual table and made sure the staff were aware of their displeasure. The reason they couldn't was because it was also the usual table of another couple who had booked it first. Apparently it shouldn't be allowed for someone else to have the same usual table as them.
(I couldn't get my usual table either. So I just sat at a different table, because that's what sane people do.)
On the way home I had a car behind me that had been fitted out with extra-wide wheels. I think it was supposed to be impressive. In a sense it was, because the deafening rattling gave the impression that someone was driving a sack of tin cans.

I've certainly seen that before on social media, I know kids who have done graduations here from nursery but it was more paper hats.

Power in the shower has died, reduced to having baths (not a bath person) but have discovered at some point in the unknown past the bath plug has apparently shrunk and you now have to race to bathe before all the water disappears. I raised this with other bath user in house, I was told you couldn't get bath plugs any more. For just how long have their been bathing at extreme speed?! Have ordered plug, do hope it works. Turns out the ease of showers were under appreciated by me much like you over look breathing until you get a cold.

I stung my hand on a nettle in the garden whilst picking up a frozen chicken foot I had dropped...
(It was an unremarkable start to that fateful Tuesday up in North Wales.....)

(It was an unremarkable start to that fateful Tuesday up in North Wales.....)It was then that I noticed the snail. It's shell was glowing as if a nuclear reaction was taking place within... Continue... The nettle sting seemed unusually powerful, 3, 4, even 5 times more painful than usual....

What's happened to the summer? We're less than a fortnight from the summer solstice and it's 15° in my house.

What's happened to the summer? We're less than a fortnight from the summer solstice and it's 15° in my house. I would never normally buy crumpets when there is an R in the month, but I bought some today. Plus they were only 15p for six, and I can never resist a bargain!
