She's having sex on the beach, in the afternoon! I know it's been milder than usual this autumn but in northern England that sounds like she's asking for at least a nasty cold if not hypothermia! It also must be quite a long way from Doncaster to the nearest beach, which a quick look at Google maps indicates is somewhere in the vicinity of Grimsby. Possibly not the most romantic location...

I had an important 'meeting' in Doncaster this afternoon Let me guess, you were meeting someone on Donny Market about bulk purchasing bargain price fondant fancies…? What flavour fell of the back of a lorry this year hmmm?

Let out a momentary sigh of relief that there remains a small chance our US Congress won't be a total hellscape when all the election results are sorted out. Then returned to my usual outlook of doom and gloom for the future of my country.

I'm normally in the office when we have the 2 minute silence for rememberence and usually in a panic as I'm the one who makes the tannoy announcement at 11am. I'm always worried I will mess up the announcement plus I hate hearing my voice over the tannoy system, I sound like a country farmer! But today I was shopping in M&S at 11am. The 2 minute silence was observed by the store but I was really surprised at how many people just carried on shopping during this time. Mainly younger people I have to say.

Managed to snag Peter Kay Tickets for Mum and Dad’s Christmas present. Feeling dead smug - it’s been a while since I did a proper ticket-bunfight but all those ninja-booking skills came right back!

Well done, I like Peter Kay but I can't watch stand up comedy in an arena because I personally find it doesn't work as well. Hopefully it actually goes ahead, the last tour he announced was cancelled,

Nice to meet up with londonpostie at Mayerling last night. I think that's the first time I've met up with any board member at the ROH, though I've met up with board members at various musicals, plays & concerts over the years.

Vadim, Yasmine, Fumi and Dawnstar - what a cast! Good to meetup, and at such a memorable, exhilarating performance.

Having a wander around the Arndale this dinner time and bumped into Theatre Boards’s very own BurlyBeaR . Who knew that he did modelling in his spare time? Is there no end to the man’s talents?

Didn't know where to put this but have I been missing something or have our titles changed on here recently? Just noticed I'm now a "leading player". When did this happen? I'm not complaining about being a lead but I quite like the idea of being a "swing".

There’s a post in the feedback forum from Burlybear saying there’s another mystery rank that won’t be revealed until someone passes 6000 posts. So… hurry up please. 😂 I quite like the idea of being a swing. In reality I can’t sing, dance or act and have a terrible memory… but I like it.

It's the Christmas lights switch-on tonight, by none other than a local Lioness. Do you know how much it costs to hook a duck these days? £4. No wonder they take card payment! It would have been a "we'll see" from my parents, which was just a less disappointing way for them to say "no".
I remember, for all the wrong reasons, going with my dad one year, which was something of a rarity. Rather than watching the stage, he told me to watch the workman up the ladder on our left. It's never been the same since!

9' at my fashionable north London lido this morning. 30-mins was probably too long; undercarriage shrank more than Royal Mail's postal business. May have to resort to a blow torch. Will post photos later*
Overall, curiously magical.

Not that I'm late to this or anything, but if you're looking for returns to London's hot-hot-hottest shows* I suggest the 9th or 10th of December, and if that goes well the 14th or 15th, also. Should that go well, the country will be a ghost .. country on Sunday 18th December.
* only applicable to those not interested in sport

Various parcels have just arrived of CD's ordered on Ebay. The one from Music Magpie I opened was supposed to be "Betty Blue Eyes" OLC but surprised to find "Kiss Me Kate" Old Vic cast instead. Just emailed them & straight away they are refunding me.
