It may not be "Lear level acting" but skills are still required, people don't train for years for nothing. Though I wish we'd thought to put Burly Bear forward sooner, just to see...

I'm not saying it isn't an insult to those who are trained (but aren't there some trained ones in the mix? I'm not paying that much attention) I'm just saying it probably won't be the worst thing in the world because of the acting as in it won't be too much of a stretch for those without training. As noted above, a lot of people can act a little bit, therefore enough to get by in something that sounds...shall we say not very deep.

At least they'll all be able to sing, unlike every member of Take That.

One of the panel last night referred to it as a touring musical. Not having followed it from day one is this a change because that to me makes it sound like an officially improved version of Never Forget It has always been marked down as a touring new musical. Written by Barlow, with the songs of Take That. Has he ever crafted a book before? Never Forget at least had the "we'll take the mickey out of ourselves in the process" vibe to it. I wouldn't have gone back, but it was a respectably silly evening when I saw it on tour.

There was a really good interview with Firth & Barlow in the Times yesterday, they're from the same village and have been friends since Barlow was 15 and, although he didn't confirm it, Firth intimated he was writing the book. IIRC they said it'll be called "The Band"

If it's anything like Never Forget, the audience won't care about acting anyway. They'll just treat it as Take That kareoke night.

*Balls and Boe Klaxon*
They do seem a bit classy for this though.

It's totally out of character, so much so they're filming it a day earlier than the show. I can forgive them anything this week, Robbie Williams is the guest judge! 😍

I think we have our first song title for our "50 Shades" musical, there, emicardiff. Just think of the merchandising potential

Dannii Minogue was chatting about the show on radio 2 this morning and said the show will do a year long tour before going to the west end.
