Oddly, I got in straight in at about 8.25am... Macbeth seems to be selling well with very few top price tickets available

All pretty painless for this morning's booking.

Oh, and you do have to log in before joining the line, not after, as the email they sent round yesterday stated. And you can log into your account twice on two different machines - but remember you have to log out on both twice too. I was only asked to log in after I got to the front of the queue. I was lucky today - started as 252 in the queue and got through at 8:38. Booked for The Scottish Play and Absolute Hell.

I'm going to do this if there are very cheap front tickets still kicking around by Monday, but with Mosquitoes, which I missed out on last May when public booking opened (all gone within minutes) and thought I'd have to wait for Friday Rush, but (thank you, person on here who told me about it!) instead I used the Firefox status updater and it didn't take long to get exactly the seats I wanted (I work at a desk so I'm here to hear the update pings). I wish I'd tried harder for Angels but I needed to get a 2 play day for that as I'm coming from so far away.

Surprisingly smooth this morning. 401 on one machine, 2007 on the other. Got to the front at 8.43am, was about to go in, but they paused the system. Heartstopper... re-started at 8.45am, straight through, John, McB and Hell booked in a few minutes, no problems at all. Looks like they may have fixed it. Oh, and you do have to log in before joining the line, not after, as the email they sent round yesterday stated. And you can log into your account twice on two different machines - but remember you have to log out on both twice too. Also, noticed at 9.45am, there was no longer any queue. I definitely logged in after I got through the queue and all went well for me. Maybe it doesn't actually matter which way around you do it?

Next time I will just wait until 10am. I got in the queue got my tickets but there is a risk they've charged me twice. I will deal with that once my credit card settles.

I totally forgot at 8.30, so booked for Macbeth, John & Absolute Hell just after 1.
Were there any decent pit seats for John at £15? I settled for side balcony as that's all i could get at that time... managed to get good seats for Macbeth still, though i am waiting til the last week of the run now...

I thought it so lacklustre a season that even when I did have time this afternoon, I didn't look.

Maybe it doesn't actually matter which way around you do it? It made me log in before I could enter the waiting room at 8.25am that then went on to join the queue at 8.30am when booking opened. Rather odd - I was on two devices and it didn't make me log in on either.

Big shout out to Arthur in the NT Box Office helpline who couldn't have been more helpful when my voucher thing went pearshaped this morning. I have to say though that an 8.30am booking start time couldn't be worse. All grand if you're retired in the Home Counties but a very different story if you have kids to get out to school and a job to go to. Blah! 😠

I've only just caught up with the NT's update re members' online booking but I don't think anyone has posted this (apols if someone has):
"Please note: in a change to previous booking periods, you should log in to the website after passing through the online queue. This is to help ensure the stability of the platform by further regulating traffic."
Until the membership department told me where the update was, I hadn't even noticed it, as they'd previously sent at least 2 emails since June, apologising for the issues, but these had been specifically about online booking problems. As they'd said a further update would follow but I'd seen no email about it, I assumed they hadn't sent one. Little did I know that the info was hidden behind a link lower down in a more recent email as I didn't bother to read that far - I just looked at the booking time/date (hopeless as usual) and decided that, as I didn't want to rush to book anything anyway, I could forget it.
So had I tried to book, I'd have logged on in advance as usual, i.e. before 8.30 am, thereby possibly reducing my prospects of success.

Yes, I skimmed through the discussion but didn't see any mention of the NT's new advice - which as you say, @theatremonkey, proved wrong anyway.

I've passed through the queue, I've logged in - and when I go to the times and dates I get a 'no results' page!

Now I'm getting everything sold out - the entire runs of Macbeth, Absolute Hell and John - seemslike major gremlins on the site! Box office closed to phone calls

Until about a minute ago, none of the new dates were showing, and currently John, Macbeth and The Great Wave are all showing as completely sold out. edit: tickets are showing up online now
