Fantastic production
Kelly Hunter has reduced Hamlet to 90 minutes. Spanning the night of Gertrude and Claidius' marriage (though I would never had known that if I didn't read up on this) and it fakes out the politics and focuses on the familial side of the play as well as Hamlets mental condition
At the start he is apparently possessed by the ghost (or maybe it's all in his head) as he vehemently sets on his task
Mental health is put front and centre. Even Ophelia is falling apart from the start and her madness scene is quite shocking. This is one Ophelia I won't forget in a hurry
Some interesting alterations. Laertes reluctantly stays to play the Rosencratz and Guildernstern roles. To try and please Hamlet till he leaves in frustration which leads into hamlet doing the plays the thing monologue
