Look how positive and enthused we've all become about the show within a matter of hours! Hooray!

Holy crap, Natasha is stunning! Her and Sheridan are equal in my eye, but Don't Rain On My Parade was breathtaking, she belted I and when she went for the last note, gave me a cheeky wink in the front row, felt like a proper "watch me now" moment and boy did she! Applause for Natasha when her name was announced, very responsive audience! She really is, I was very impressed. It's funny you mention the last night, when she was belting it out, mid way through, a few people actually gasped at how she was holding that note, I completely understood them, I was doing the disbelief blinking! As I said, I cannot wait to see her in more.

How can anyone be fairly sure that someone suffering from stress and exhaustion is going to be sufficiently fit on a certain date? Doesn't make sense. Unless it wasn't stress and exhaustion of course. This is what I said at the time, the fact it was about six weeks away, well you just cannot predict how the person will be then, if something may set off a lower point. Not to go into too much detail, but I suffer with some health issues, both physical and mental health. There are some things the past week that are small to other people and they've made me have a set back, including the unstable situation our country seems to be. With what Sheridan has, if it's that, then there are things that can make her feel worse, something small or big, say her father takes a bad turn, it will set her back. The dates will most likely be fluid and I agree with what you said about a sick note, it goes up to a point and then it gets pushed back.

Just asking, after seeing stage doors for Doctor Faustaus, Savoy theatre stage door isn't that big for Sheridan, is it? I don't think I could do that through those crowds Out of interest, George, do you actually know where the SD is at the Savoy? I only ask as it isn't obvious but I'd say there's a large amount of space. It also has the advantage of not being on a main road. Yeah I walked past it after I saw Gypsy and G&D, it's on the side walk, carting lane? Very big space but does this fill very quickly? Might have to get out the theatre very quickly!

George do be aware that Sheridan has a great track record at stage door in that when she does it, she stops and chats to everyone who is there and gives hugs etc. So no matter where you stand, she will get to you.

Does she? Oh that's very good then! It's just I saw what happened at the Duke of Yorks and I don't want to be squashed or anything like that! It looks more peaceful at the Savoy though, and Sheridan will probably be very nice and see to everyone; like you said.

In regards to the tour, Sheridan is almost certain not to do it. She'll have loads of other jobs lined up. Also, Natasha will probably be getting more roles offered to her now so she might change and go for more opportunities?

If she comes back and if she comes back the same. She may well not do so much if she does come back, especially as she has had exhaustion, she may be brief and speak quickly to people. It's not just the shows that are tiring, it's emotional energy put out in other places too.

I actually am expecting, if she returns, because of Natasha's success in the role, for Sheridan to just so evening performances and Natasha to do matinees. This will make it easier on Sheridan but also give people the chance to see Natasha!

I doubt they would change it now, when she returns, I presume she'll just do what she did before

She would be daft then. If you've just been off sick for two months with stress and exhaustion the last thing you should be doing is throwing yourself into a full work schedule immediately when you come back. Asking for trouble.

I think she will ease up if she returns too. I can see her doing the 2 show day saturday but missing the midweek 2 show day.

Would they face complaints from the people that weren't getting Sheridan though? Or would they just say tough luck?

According to Mr PR earlier the complaints about her not appearing have been "beyond minimal". So no. Apparently it's all sunshine and roses even if you don't get Sheridan.
(what a crock of....!)

Would they face complaints from the people that weren't getting Sheridan though? Or would they just say tough luck? Not if on announcement if her return they say she will not be performing at these performances. Then the people upset will have time to reschedule but they can say "you paid to see Funny Girl, not Sheridan" and they get to see the brilliant Natasha! Who got a great response by alot of the people who saw her Saturday, she even got applause on her name anouncement!

People have been saying they can't exchange, but we've exchanged two different sets of tickets for FG without any issue at all! ATG were more than happy to help, very nice lady on the phone!

Don't get me wrong, I am sure Natasha is great and satisfying all of her audiences. I know people who have seen her and said so also. I'm just actually quite shocked that the audiences haven't kicked up more of a fuss, assuming perhaps the majority booked on Sheridan's name. Obviously once they see Natasha they realise they have noting to complain about, but I'm surprised they aren't trying to demand refunds beforehand. Perhaps the word of mouth about Natasha has spread quicker than I thought.

As is Sheridan, just to clarify to those who are being negative! (not aimed at you Emily haha)

Perhaps the word of mouth about Natasha has spread quicker than I thought. I went to give Sheridan a go, but seeing Natasha's reviews I didn't care either way. Watching her, it was impossible to think anyone could be better as she was living the role so well. She is a star in her own right and most people who go to the theatre gp to see a talent, not one name, so they understand that you have to be pretty darn good to be a leading lady in such a big role. I loved her performance, she was simply stunning, after seeing her, I can't imagine anyone causing a fuss and if they did befor, they would show themselves to be pretty ignorant of the theatre, in my opinion.

It's hardly good PR to say people are up in arms about us substituting the star for someone you've never heard of, no matter how good the replacement is, is it?

Yes I'm not suggesting that it would be the right thing to do to kick up a fuss, I just know how people have been with other shows when their stars are out.
Perhaps you're right Burly.

I'm sure they'd be welcoming Sheridan back on a phased return, to avoid a repeat of last time and risk further negative press.
As for the tour I'd adore to see Natasha do this but I guess we will have to see!
