Thank you Hamilton Addict, something I have wanted about 100 pages ago when Sheridan first got ill.

So everyone, which is the favourite Fanny you've ever seen or heard?
(Couldn't resist the temptation)

It's a great show to talk about, but this thread is just too off-topic. I suggest we move Sheridan conversations (such as her health and her past work) to her own thread and if members feel like they want to talk about other certain members then they start their own, different thread.

There's a Sheridan thread in Performers for anyone who wants to discuss her. However her current health is directly connected to her appearance in this show so that's hard to separate.
People can help by dropping the comments insinuating that George is "obsessed", and in return George can help by not throwing out open questions asking when people think she'll be back, because this is unanswerable and we've seen several times already that it tends to wind some people up.
If if this turns into a discussion about George again the posts will be removed and if necessary I'll lock the thread.

I just am intrigued into what people think will happen w/c 11th July, I'm honestly not trying to do anything worse than that. Most people are kind about it and do just answer the questions and talk normally. Sorry if it comes across wrong, I do enjoy this thread and I still want to talk about the show.

Getting back on-topic...
What Olivier noms/wins do people think the show will get? Sheridan is a lock for a nomination I think. It will also most likely be nominated for 'Best Revival'.

I think Sheridan will most certainly be up for actress if she returns. I also think the show has Best Revival in the bag already? Maybe Darius would get best actor?

Darius won't be Leading - it's Supporting

I'm calling it now, I think Sheridan, Darius, Joel and Marilyn could bag nominations for their performances! Revival is a lock pretty much, I could see it getting costume and lighting nods too.
This coming from one of the only ones on the old forum who predicted Dan Burton a nomination for Gypsy haha (still so proud of that prediction!)

Next year's Olivier Awards seem they could be a lot more competitive than last years!

Next year's Olivier Awards seem they could be a lot more competitive than last years! That's what I was saying! Last years seemed to have some obvious winners (Gypsy and Kinky Boots), but next years have some good new musicals and stars lined up! Lots of plays too!

It is hardly fair for them to nominate Glenn (if they do?) when she done around the same amount of performances as Sheridan?

I don't know... I'm not sure how many performances it takes to be eligible... Just thinking out loud

I don't know... I'm not sure how many performances it takes to be eligible... Just thinking out loud I think I heard somewhere that you have to do 30 performances to be eligible.

Surely it does? That would make SS ineligible I'm guessing I think I heard somewhere that you have to do 30 performances to be eligible. The production has to run over 30 performances, but whether that applies to performers?

I for one am still unhappy that Natasha is billed as the understudy. As soon as Sheridan announced she would take time off, Natasha became her temporary replacement. I just think it's unfair to her

It all depends on if she returns really, no one will know until then.

They should also release the cast recording with Barnes instead of Smith I for one am still unhappy that Natasha is billed as the understudy. As soon as Sheridan announced she would take time off, Natasha became her temporary replacement. I just think it's unfair to her

I just think it's unfair to her They put up reviews of Natasha in the Box Office, photos of her outside too... it is more than most temporary replacements get. Also, not forgetting, it wasn't planned initially to be this long.

I guess until they know SS is never coming back, it's too expensive to redo all of the advertising etc.

I think that Sheridan will be nominated if she returns but if she doesn't, then Natasha should get it. I don't think the Collesium is eligible, but if it is and Glen gets nominated then so should Sheridan. I think it will win against Best Revival, what other revivals have there been? Showboat might get nominated.
