I'm really excited for the Cast Recording in a few weeks! I can't wait to hear Sheridan sing those songs again, both onstage and on recording! If she doesn't come back do you think they'll release it? or re-record it with Natasha's reportedly superior vocal?

Or just shelve it!

They should record some of the songs with Natasha and add them as bonus tracks at least.

we may as well change the title of this thread to George22 as it has absolutely nothing to do with the show itself anymore :L Well I'm sorry. It's only a laugh and not to be taken seriously. The thread is still very much about the show as well.
I'm discussing Funny Girl, aren't I? I'm just telling people about my future experience with the show as some people seem interested, I think?

Guys, I might have some exciting news on Monday! A producer I know is giving me the contact to a producer on Funny Girl about possibly meeting Sheridan! Eeek! Good Luck, George! Thank you! I really can't wait until Monday to get the contact and them email the producer! I don't know what to say to them, but if I got to meet Sheridan personally... wow, that would be amazing.

If I was Sheridan, I'd be a bit scared.

If I was Sheridan, I'd be a bit scared. Bit rude! Sorry for being a fan. I'm a flipping fan, not a stalker! If you admire someone then you want to see them perform. Gosh...

Oh George, it's all in jest, don't worry. Regard it as light relief from the IS SHE BACK YET angst.
I like that this thread has the personal spin on the George ness.

I don't know if the above was a joke or not, however, even for someone who admires someone, you do seem a little full on regarding Sheridan at times. The letter, the non stop asking about when she was back in time, the stage door, the trying to meet. I don't know, I admire Roger Federer greatly, I've seen him play and met him a few times, but I'm not so focused on it. From my perspective, it can come across as a bit much at times. But that's just me. The best thing to remember is, these people are just like everyone else, they are just people (who need people!) I'm really not being mean or insulting (not my style), but as I said, it can be a little bit too much for me at times. Sorry.

I have never bought a cast recording of any show I've watched, however if Natasha was to record this one, I actually would buy it to hear her sing the songs again. I was that impressed with the quality of her voice, she has a beautiful tone to it, not just being able to belt a song out, but a tone you don't get from many performers. So, as I said, it would be a first, but I would buy it for Natasha's voice, hands down.

I thought that people liked hearing about my plans for when I see Funny Girl....but obviously not!

For me its fine George.
Im guessing youre fairly young based on your comments in the west end live thread and that the notion of celebrity excites you massively and what you type here you type from the heart using that excitement. If its your excitement about celebrity that has led you to theatre and in turn here at a relatively young age who are we to dampen such enthusiasm for this art form we all love.
Perhaps in the non virtual world you are less excitable and Im guessing if you get the chance to meet Sheridan she will be meeting a fairly shy person who will struggle to get sentences out and just spout something at high speed along the lines of "you were great tonight, i think youre amazing"
I might be wrong but just my take

This is it! I've liked theatre since I was very little but it's been the last few years that I've become like really obsessed with musicals and the West End! I don't like theatre just because of Sheridan, to be honest, I hadn't even see her in anything until like last year! If I got to meet her, it would be great, but I wouldn't go all weird on it! I'd be so shy and everything! I may seem like all crazy on here, but I'm not really.

If you really knew me in real life, it's not all this crazy, weird thing that people think it might be. Okay I might go on abit but she is my favourite actress. So sorry if I do go on though, I don't want you to think of me as some weird stalker because I'm really not. I'm fairly young too so it's not even anything that big

I'm fairly young too so it's not even anything that big I'm fairly young myself and very much young enough to remember my very early twenties. I don't see age having much to do with it. It is coming over as an obsession, it's great that you love theatre and musicals, but the Sheridan fixation is a bit much for me and it is coming over as obsession and to me a bit stalker like. I've had some experience in that and in all honesty, people who are don't often even realise they are either obsessed or beginning to stalk. We all have a favourite actress, or sports person etc, she may be yours, but as I said, and I'm not being horrible here, but it does make me feel uncomfortable from time to time.

After some of the Wicked fan-girl behaviour George seems practically sane - and it's not as if he's trying to find out where she lives to go and drink her bath water!

The use of the word obsession troubles me here. I personally don't see having an obsession necessarily a bad thing. I for one am happy to admit that I'm obsessed by the theatre. And I think anyone who has signed up to and posts in a forum about a specific topic (such as theatre board), it would be hard for those members to deny their interest is edging in the direction of obsession, unless if course they're signed up for professional interests I guess. Not that I wish to tarnish everyone with the same brush, but for example if you were signed up to a Jimmy Krankee forum I doubt you'd admit it to friends/colleagues as they would view it as excessive - just an example to illustrate the point I'm making.
It's not shameful to be obsessed as long as it remains healthy and doesn't cross the line of breaking any laws, and in this case with George I don't think it's that bad.
However, saying that, I must admit I'd like to read a bit more about the show itself on here. It has wavered off topic a bit. But then this thread always has.

At the performance tonight and Natasha is smashing it out of the park. Absolutely hilarious, especially when covering a prop malfunction in act 1.
So glad I chose to dayseat this today.

Oh, the mention of prop malfunctions reminds me. When I saw the show (June 1st matinee), Natasha's moustache kept falling off during Rat Tat Tat Tat with some very funny comments from her. I'm guessing that's not scripted to happen? The whole audience was in stitches, or at least everyone in the front stalls where I was.

Ah the moustache malfunction appears spontaneous but it happens every night and Sheridan always does it too.

When I saw the second preview at the Menier that happened with Sheridan and she covered it, but the second time it was fine and when my friend saw it. I'll see what happens today. House full sign outside as well this evening.
