I wonder what mid/early that week will be like. I arrived at 9:30 on Monday and I got the last two.

Just out of interest, how early do you think people are going to day seat for the final day? Overnight no doubt, judging by the crazy people who were there the first time I dayseated Funny Girl - their friend came to visit from the Kinky Boots queue in a onesie, having been there all night (it was cast change for that show). If they're anything to go by, I expect unless you camp you won't get a ticket. Which is why I'll probably aim for one of the other weekends before that, when about 3 hours in the queue will suffice! I was definitely in the queue the same morning as you as I remember the onesie visiting friend! I agree about overnight queuing, possible even 2 nights.

It won't be as busy as initially thought now that the tour has been announced and starring Sheridan. It will be an overnight job I'm sure, but people won't be there for two days when they can now see Sheridan on tour in the same role. I'm going to dayseat on Wednesday and am getting there about 6 to get my dayseats.

I expect unless you camp you won't get a ticket. Don't forget that the Savoy Hotel own that street, and have been known to "move people on" who are waiting outside for returns. I'm not saying it will happen, but if they spot a camp site forming, it really could. Quite right. If I'm spending a squillion pounds on a junior suite with rainfall shower, some lovely toiletries, fluffy towels and a couple of chocolates on the pillow, the last thing I'd want to soil my Manolo Blahniks on is a Sheridan Smith off-shoot of an Occupy London site.

What time did you get there? True about the Savoy moving people on, though the die-hards will probably just set up camp on the Strand instead and take it in turns for one of them to stay standing outside the Savoy!

People will 100% be over nighting for the final show, however The Savoy hotel will not allow them to stand/sit/lay anywhere near the outside of the theatre, they will have to stay on the strand until around 5-6ish

Got tickets booked this morning for me and my friend to see it on the Saturday night when it's in Dublin. Can't wait.
But before that, going on Wednesday night to see it again to try and see Sheridan after seeing Natasha in June.
Excited

I just can't believe how quickly this run has gone. I know it was an 8 month run but it seems to have ended so quickly as there's only 2 weeks left!! I wish it was still going on for a few more weeks.
Also, does anyone else think that because Sheridan is doing the tour it means she could be doing more musical work in the future?? I mean when the tour ends she'd have played the role for like 18 months if you had up all he Menier, Savoy and tour shows - so she must obviously like performing and playing this part?!

It's nice how she has from October-February to have time off and also has certain venues where she isn't performing. And yes I'm very sure people would still hire her if she sells tickets and gives remarkable performances.

I was wondering if another London run of FG with Sheridan following the tour might happen

I think it's just me being hopeful more than anything that she'll be doing more shows in the near-future. Come to realise now that the chances of me seeing this show again are very, very low! It annoys me how I saw so many tickets available like a month ago but I just can't book them when I want to!

I think it's naive to think that people casting shows wont think twice about Sheridan in the future. I'm not saying she will never get stage work again, but let's not deny that Sheridan's involvement in this show has caused stress for everyone involved - including audiences and Sheridan herself of course. Will she still be an in demand actress? Yes. Would they choose her over someone with equal ability and fame? I doubt it.
I also think she will stay away from the stage for a while anyway but then I never would have guessed she would join the tour, so what do I know?

I do agree partially with you there, but I just don't understand how you can say that her involvement in this show has caused stress for everyone. Yes I do get what you mean as it has obviously been a touch time for her, and probably the producers too, but don't forget the tour is being produced by the same producers as the London show. They obviously can't be that annoyed with her if they have asked her to do the majority of the venues on tour? And if she wanted to not do anymore srage work, why would she have said yes to doing the tour which is probably more work than doing the London show as it involves travelling the country? Not having a go at you but I'm just curious too?

Not having a go at you but I'm just curious too? Well it's been stressful for the large amount of audiences who bought tickets specifically to see Sheridan and either didn't end up seeing her or didn't know for a long time whether they would or not, although those are the people I feel least sorry for in this scenario as understudies are a part of theatre in general. It's been stressful for Sheridan for obvious reasons. Front of house staff and box office staff will have dealt with disgruntled customers. The producers have dealt with the negative press brought to Sheridan and the production as a whole, as well as the whole debacle with Sheridan publicly insulting them on Twitter during the Menier run. If the story that got published in the papers is true (I have no idea myself, but some people on here have said they know that it is) then it will have caused a great deal of stress to the cast who probably wanted to go on that night and do their job. Who knows why she is doing the tour? Some people have speculated on here that she is making up for the time she was away. I have no idea as to the extent of the truth of that. Producers can still be annoyed with her but also know that she will sell more tickets than anyone else they can get for a tour, especially as celebrities of her calibre don't usually choose to do tours. Or it may not be a case of anyone being annoyed with her, but just feeling like they can't trust her to lead a production again without needing time off. You could be right that she is completely recovered and eager to take on stage work again. I'd be surprised, but I was surprised she is doing the tour as I say.

Finally saw this last night - absolutely loved it! Sheridan was great, as everyone says, but with all the discussion about her I had actually forgotten that Darius was in it until he walked on the stage. Definitely brightened up my day!!

Has anyone heard any confirmation that Sheridan is doing all 7 shows at the other venues or will she not do the midweek matinees?? I wonder as they have no monday show, that may be so she could do all in the week or is that wishful thinking??

Any actor may vanish from a show if their nearest are struck down by potentially lethal condition, or if they are. And she's obviously appearing on stage soon if she's doing the tour.....

Thats probably how they do think - why pay 4 times the price of the Strand palace over the road otherwise.

Sheridan was great, as everyone says, but with all the discussion about her I had actually forgotten that Darius was in it until he walked on the stage. Definitely brightened up my day!! Indeed , saw Saturday matinee. Darius is very commanding. Sheridan is great too - still has audience in her palm throughout, very funny , and still getting the personal salute style total standing ovation - she used to get for Legally Blonde. She sounds great . Ive heard bigger Funny Girl vocals ,notably from Jessie Buckley in cabaret, and someone one day may make a bomb if they persuade her to play the role, but Sheridan is fine for the character , as she's portraying it.

I guess Darius isn't doing the tour or they would have announced it before SS. Shame
