With Sheridan, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart all touring recently hopefully more stars will consider taking shows on the road. I agree. Even to this day I am still kicking myself for missing James Corden in the first One Man, Two Guvnors tour before he headed off to NY and won the Tony! As good as Owain Arthur and Gavin Spokes were on the subsequent tours. I do wonder though if Sheridan is only touring to compensate for the performances she missed in London? If that's the case I'm still waiting for Rowan Atkinson to reprise Fagin after he missed a month at Drury Lane! The 14 year old me was livid that he was off when I went!

Yes, I am surprised at this news too. I would have thought Sheridan would have preferred to get back to TV work which is less "exposed" to the public. I cannot believe no other work was on the table. Touring is tough. It seems like she is doing 12 dates so 12 weeks? Not too long I suppose. Great news for the producers who must have "persuaded" her. It guarantees a bumper box office! Here are her dates for anyone interested Manchester Palace Theatre 18 February 2017 - 25 February 2017 Milton Keynes Theatre 27 February 2017 - 04 March 2017 Liverpool Empire 07 March 2017 - 11 March 2017 Bristol Hippodrome 21 March 2017 - 25 March 2017 Edinburgh Playhouse 18 April 2017 - 22 April 2017 Birmingham Hippodrome 09 May 2017 - 13 May 2017 Newcastle Theatre Royal 16 May 2017 - 20 May 2017 Mayflower Theatre Southampton 22 May 2017 - 27 May 2017 Bradford Alhambra Theatre 06 June 2017 - 10 June 2017 Southend Cliffs Pavilion 19 June 2017 - 24 June 2017 Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff 04 July 2017 - 08 July 2017 Bord Gais Energy Theatre Dublin 11th – 15th July 2017 God so she is doing the vast majority! At least she has scheduled herself a little break here and there! To keep her at her best

I said to you all about 3 months ago, that she is likely to do the tour also?

I wonder if this was a compromise they reached when all these issues arose in the first place. Certainly surprising to say the least. Where's George!? Has someone checked he's ok?
It's great that the rest of the UK are going to be exposed to Sheridan's fanny.*
*sorry couldn't resist.

I cant be the only one who thinks this idea is a disaster waiting to happen, can I?
I love her, but the sooner October 8th comes, the sooner she can say she got through it and close this chapter?

This is soooooo exciting news but I am so surprised!! I can't believe that Sheridan is touring with the show!! I thought she would have done TV work now? Maybe she does like the stage and wants to do more stage shows?!
So exciting and amazing news! Maybe she wants to make up the time that she missed during her absence?

It will be very interesting to see how many of the London cast (if any) do the tour.

I'm surprised too, this has been a bumpy ride for her and I would have thought she'd want to move on from the project once it closed at the Savoy. Perhaps, because of the issues she feels she has something to prove to the regional audiences who have only read about the troubles rather than her brilliant performance? Or, hey, maybe she's just really enjoying doing the show and doesn't want it to end!
I think Natasha will continue the momentum she's built in London and continue as Fanny for the dates Sherdian doesn't do.

I think Natasha will continue the momentum she's built in London and continue as Fanny for the dates Sherdian doesn't do. That's definitely a possibility but I wonder if Natasha may prefer to step out of Sheridan's shadow and be a lead in her own right (like with Cinderalla) rather than effectively being an alternate Fanny once again, appearing at those venues where Sheridan won't be performing. The reaction on social media to Sheridan's casting today suggest that the likes of the Liverpool Empire and Manchester Palace Theatre won't have many available seats for very long!

I had been intending on trying to see this again in London before it closes, but I had already booked for Bristol and couldn't really justify the cost of going again, so this is nice news that I get to see Sheridan again without having to sit outside the Savoy.

Some FB friends have just booked Newcastle off the back of this news. Prime example of how people do book for the star and not the show.
Such is the pulling power of Sheridan's Fanny.

I've been desperately trying to fit a trip in to see this in London to see Ms Smith and have struggled, so delighted I can pop along to Cardiff to see!
Another vote for star casting here as I wouldn't have booked Cardiff if it wasn't for Ms Smith!

Can we assume that the dark Monday means that the Thurs matinee is the only understudy show? I still don't trust booking a ticket until I know!

As far as I'm aware, Sheridan is doing all of the performances during her weeks...has it been confirmed anywhere to the contrary?

Sheridan isn't doing the Wednesday matinee at Milton Keynes, Newcastle and Cardiff. Other than that, she is scheduled to do all performances.

With Sheridan on board, this has the potential to be the biggest theatrical tour of the year next year in the UK... what a smart move and a great platform for Sheridan to prove herself once more. I can also feel that Olivier getting closer and closer to her with her success not only in the role, but also the way she overcame her issues and carried on.
