At the show tonight, Darius is back, and he's doing very well. Sheridan also on good form, although I've never seen this production before so don't have anything to compare it to.

Never has such a so-so show, with such lacklustre production values, generated so much discussion. Will this thread ever be beaten in views and contributions...?

I love the sound of that.

There's an article in the newspapers regarding Sheridan today. Apparently, she's been missing stage door signing Oh God forbid someone does not spend an hour of their time at stage door EVERY SINGLE NIGHT or it becomes "news". Sometimes people are ill or have places to be, the ticket is to the show not also for a stage door experience. Anyway, I am sure Carrie will be along to blog about it all shortly... 'Meanies are just big meanies so ner!'

She returned to signing last night by the way I read that as she returned to SINGing last night and thought to myself "it's about bloody time she started first". My bad. Sorry Sheridan. Smacked hand for Ryan.

She returned to signing last night by the way I read that as she returned to SINGing last night and thought to myself "it's about bloody time she started first". I read it that way too*, then went back and read it more accurately after seeing your post, and my first interpretation was that she was performing for a deaf audience and I thought "that's pretty cool". The real situation is kind of a let-down. * Probably a learned response to the many people who type "signing" when they actually mean "singing".

It was in the papers the other week that she did some signing to a deaf fan at the stage door so not as crazy as it sounds.

Can somebody please tell me how long it usually takes for Sheridan to come out of stage door post show and if it'll be busy during the week?

Can somebody please tell me how long it usually takes for Sheridan to come out of stage door post show and if it'll be busy during the week? I've only been once but when I went it took her about 30 minutes to come out. I think it tends to be busy most nights with her.

Hoping to dayseat soon to catch the show once more before it ends. Anyone know what time I'd need to get there on a Saturday?

Saw this show last night... Wow!! I have been waiting to see this show all year and it certainly lived up to my expectations. A producer I know put me in contact with somebody at Sonia Friedman regarding Sheridan Smith so I was given a personally signed program before the show began! It was so lovely, Sheridan had written a short message and signed it! I thought that set was really good. It was so simple but quite effective - would've been nice to have seen a different backdrop each time, rather than just a gauze curtain hanging there. I loved the use of the travelators to represent walking etc and also to bring in scenery - it worked really well. Michael Mayer has directed the show very well. Also loved the lighting design. Sheridan Smith is simply amazing! Her natural comedic timing is great and the way she interacts with the audience is so lovely. She is so funny to watch and is also an amazing performer - singing and acting is amazing. I really hope she wins an Oliver for this role and that she is in more shows too in the future. She cried at the curtain call. Met her after the show at stage door, really happy to meet her. Not too busy to be honest. I got a picture with her but I wish I had told her how she is my favourite actress! I got quite shy and didn't say much so I waited so long and hardly spoke! She is so friendly though and meets everyone there - such a lovely lady! Whole cast is sublime. Darius is amazing as is Marliyn Cutts as Mrs Brice. Lots of laughs in the show. 5 stars

Have made a vow to myself that whenever Sheridan is in a show, I will 100% book tickets. Such a star performer!! I can't see her doing a musical for a few more years but possibly a play next year or the year after?

Glad you got to see the show and meet SS, George - and that the show (and SS) were up to your expectations!
