didn't have enough people to do Tick Tock if they were down Rosalie I think I once saw that as a slogan on a Japanese tourist's T-shirt. And if not, I shall be selling T-shirts with that as a slogan. Love it. Deep, and unfathomable.
ETA: No, sorry, I'm wrong. It's an old Marie Lloyd music hall number of course! tonyloco will probably have the sheet music somewhere. theatre I'm sure you saw her perform live!

No, I can find no reference to a song called 'Tick Tock' in the repertoire of Marie Lloyd, but Michael Kilgarriff's splendid book 'Sing Us One of the Old Songs' (OUP 1998) says that it was sung by Albert Chevalier in 1894. The lyrics are by Harry V. Barnett and the music by Alfred H. West. No, I don't have a copy of the sheet music, at least as far as I know, and I cannot find any recording of it by anybody. I am intrigued that the Theatre Monkey believes it was a Marie Lloyd song – did he hear her sing it some time back in his youth? I thought I was the oldest inhabitant in this community…!

It looks like I don't have as much influence/luck at the box office as you guys, I just popped by but they wanted to sell me the last row of the stalls for 35£ which is a hard pass.

Still fairly early in the day, closer to 6/6:30 you might have had more luck. Also it's likely to be harder the last few performances I'd imagine.

What an astounding production, that will be raved about for years to come. Feel so lucky to have seen it twice and be able to see the impact that it's had on people.
Will be sad to see it go, but hoping it's not too long till it finds itself on Broadway!

Yay I got lucky! So excited to see this again this afternoon!! And in the absence of all my regular theatre buddies I'm side by side in good company with my OH who hates this show (and I'm still with him... 😂) But I'm looking forward to this brilliant version changing his mind!

Sales have been surprisingly slow this week. In general the show took a bit of a dive from Jan.

They’ve just put some dress circle slips and upper circle seats on the website for £27:50 for this afternoon if anyone fancies a last minute trip.

I think they should make the film version and bump up Joanne's role and give Patti the Best Actress Oscar. In the year they release the 'Sunset Boulevard' movie.

I actually think Joanne’s the most interesting character in the whole piece and think there’s something to that character that would work in her own leading role. How did she become who she is? Where’s Sondheim when you want to make a suggestion...

Concept: a spin off called ‘You Have A Good Third Husband, Joanne’ where we follow all of her marriages

She was in fact spun off in FOLLIES where Phyllis is in every way an extension/expansion/elaboration upon Joanne, albeit younger and more feral
