Really annoyed that ElliotHarper have changed the schedule and cancelled the matinee I had booked for And made me phone them to try to exchange! Now dont know why I bothered giving them my money a year in advance and made a useless hotel booking. Ah well I'm only a paying customer. What do I matter?

I mean I guess the flip side is a year and a half ahead 'sh*t happens' and performances might end up cancelled...did they give a reason? which date is it? If it's not an early one I'm guessing it's some kind of casting/logistical clash? As much as I agree it's poor 'service' theatre is also a live/evolving beast, and well, sh*t happens. And at least cancelling at this point customers have plenty of notice to re-arrange plans.

All true, but the reason they cancelled is that they have moved the first night(s) and so presumably don't went a matinee after a first night. Still think they could do more in the way of an apology.

The matinee they cancelled was October 18. Think first night(s)are16/17October. Well that makes sense. I’d imagine they’ve decided for production reasons not to do a matinee that week. While it possibly would have been sensible to do that in the first place, as we know from the Hamilton debacle early shows are sometimes a “gamble” At least unlike Hamilton this is substantial warning.

We're booked for the same (no longer) matinee. How were you contacted? We've had no contact so far.

I too had a ticket for the matinee on 18 October in the Dress Circle Slips. I have not yet heard from Delfont Mackintosh about the cancellation but I just contacted them and they have swapped it for another DC Slips seat for the matinee on 25 October.
I thought this kind of thing only happened to other people...! I had better hurry and buy a Lotto ticket in case my luck (?) is holding!!

They called this morning and sorted out tickets for the 1st November.

I want to see this production but the tickets are quite pricy. I've never heard any of the songs before, other than being alive. Do you think this is worth seeing?

1-Yes I think it's worth seeing 2-No one saw it - so no can really speak from a position of authority.

I take it the matinee on the 13th is still on, the weekend before the revised first night?

I’ve noticed Row T and back in the stalls is £50 for this at some performances as opposed to the crazy £80 and premiums in most of the rest of the stalls. For anyone who’s seen Curious or whatever else here is the view good value from here? I’m guessing Company isn’t the type of show where it matters missing the top of the stage? The main reason I’m going is Patti LuPone anyway!

I would say row T is too far away for a sondheim. Uncle Steve requires facial expressions and close ups.
Wait for discounts and bag a seat near the front

Facial expressions weren't the easiest to see but I'd still choose to sit row T/U over the couple of rows in front given the price difference.

It sounds... VERY heterosexual. I believe we already knew that April will now be Andy, and Joanne will be asking Bobbie when she's going to make it with Larry, but it's now confirmed that Marta and Kathy will both be converted into boyfriends too. Although I'm delighted about Bobbie being a woman, and I'm looking forward to a major production of this brilliant musical, I just... wish it weren't going to be so heterosexual.

Wasn't that what we all expected though? That they'd just switch the genders around rather than making Bobby gay?
