There were so many hit musicals in 2016 in Korea.
Did you see any?
This is the list of hit musicals in 2016 in Korea.

1. Sweeney Todd
2. Wicked
3. Newsies
4. Mamma Mia! (It has run for nearly 1 year!!!!)
5. Kinky Boots
6. 42nd Street

They've closed except for Mamma Mia!, 42nd Street.
Ah!!!! The Bodyguard will open on December 15th. I think it will become extremely famous!!

My experience of Korea is sadly limited to three hours in Seoul on a stop-over between Germany and Vietnam.

However, if I would go back, I wouldn't want to see stuff that's been around here in Europe for ages - I've seen all of the shows on your list at some stage. I would much prefer to see original Korean musicals. Do those exist? If so, what can you tell us about those, anything you would recommend to a newcomer?

Yes, they do! The original musical scene here is thriving.

If you come to Korea, I'll recommend you see "The March of the Youth".
It`s a jukebox musical and the songs are 80`s-90`s hit Korean songs, you can enjoy the old songs in Korea.
If I give you a tip, concentrate in story and follow the musics! Then you can enjoy it more

It's being performed now to January 22nd, 2017 in Hongik Art Center.
In particular, it's exciting musical, so you can enjoy it!!
