Still down for me. Went over to Today Tix to try there but tickets are more expensive. There's enough seats left to be patient for now. I want the points from the tickets at the Old Vic too! Same. Could be that the browser has cached the issue though. Refreshing does do much and all appears non responsive. But in a different browsers im back in the queue and its been consistently moving for the last 20mins or so. So I'm trying another route. I think it's more likely the queue tech is working but the main site still isn't...

It’s so worth joining at the lowest level just to avoid this inevitable stress of the public sale date.

Kinda glad that I forgot about this going on sale at midday! I’ll check back after work I think.

I was all set to enter my card details when the payment screen first went blank and then The Old Vic's website crashed. TodayTix came to the rescue, thankfully. It was worth the £10 or so premium on the prices, I think, to get it sorted with them.

Anyone struggling just call the box office. They picked up after about 4 rings and tickets sorted in under a minute. Seemingly still loads of availability.

It’s so worth joining at the lowest level just to avoid this inevitable stress of the public sale date. I had a hospital appointment the other side of London at 13.40, and reading through this site yesterday evening at 7.30pm I could feel my little heart pitter-patter at being in a queue and not being able to book, so bit the bullet and joined the £65 membership. Took about half hour of gnashing of teeth before the membership kicked in though. And! And! Advantage of being old, I can get a big discount on Wednesday matinee performances! So membership paid for on two afternoon treats! G'dammit I'm already booked elsewhere for the first Saturday night, but last night (and afternoon) is booked and am happy bunny. I loved this show so much when I saw it before - hopefully age hasn't made me all bitter and twisted.

Phonelines are now overwhelmed too - it either gives you a message saying phones are not being answered immediately, or you ring out and then get the same message. Web bookings still down.

They've replied to someone on Twitter saying they expect the booking system will be back up tomorrow! But they are taking orders on the phone until 7pm.

I gave in and phoned, which considering how much I absolutely detest the phone, should say something about how much I wanted to get a good seat! Got the one I was after though.

I just rang, picked up within 4 rings and booked. I feel a bit sorry for the box office staff, they must just be overwhelmed - but the guy I spoke to sounded very calm!

They’ve gotten the website back up and running however they’re only taking bookings for Groundhog Day over the phone

Considering booking a ticket at the back of the circle. Does it feel very far from the stage. Just think it would be nice seeing this show from that angle having seen it from the stalls before.

I sat back row of the 1st circle (is it Royal?) and the view was spot on. Feel like it actually helped appreciate the genius of the staging from further back.

It looks like the virtual queue for Groundhog Day tickets will open again shortly on The Old Vic's website.
A message on the website homepage says a queue will be in place from 12pm. However, there is also a countdown to the start of this which is counting down to 11am!

Maybe the same thing will happen again each and every day and it's all some sort of elaborate marketing campaign!!

Booked for the first preview and a random July date too.
Hope I love it as much as I did the last time - a lot has changed in my life since then!
