Really sorry to hear what happened to you, but I'm touched to hear of a very humane and sympathetic response from the management of the Union.

I have also been cheered by the clever references to my beloved Jesus Christ Superstar! (If only the Roman Guard had been right outside our yard, and whilst I am "alright" - unlike JC- I have not been sleeping well tonight...) If only Phantom's Mme Giry had been there; she could have warned me to hold up my hand to the level of my eyes. (When you are grabbed by the neck from behind, it renders you completely powerless, and you lose the ability to call for help. Breathing is quite tricky too.)
On a brighter note, it's nice to hear some other stories of Good Service from theatres. ( Another one- I was taken badly ill on my day for the Rattigan plays at the Garrick last Christmas. I telephoned them and told them I was so upset, and was devastated I would be missing it. They very kindly allowed me to exchange them for another performance after Christmas. So thank you to the lovely chap in the box office and to Nimax!)
