Come From Away on Saturday night. Couldn't even think of going last night on the 18th Anniversary, I'd have been a sobby thing.

The Pet Shop Boys in Hyde Park tonight (currently sat in a cafe off Oxford Street wondering if I should go for at least one drink before going in, I had no intention of getting there early to see Simply Red and I’m not sure seeing Bananarama, Status Quo and Westlife will be a life enriching experience.)

Quite excited. Day orf on Tuesday and two doctor's appointments - NHS in the morning and Juliet Stephenson in the evening. I live in hope of a complete examination from one.
Midweek, the huge drama of a constituency Labour Party meeting just around the corner (never normally happens!).
And on Saturday, to the National for a 2 1/2 hour group session discussing writing plays led by yer Alexander Zeldin. I have already sharpened my pencils.

( Last week I saw Waitress and 9-5 in London, then Thoroughly Modern Millie in Newport and My Fair Lady in Mold with a lot of travelling between ) Monday : Priscilla at Dartford Orchard Theatre Tuesday : Preludes at Southwark Playhouse, followed by Working at Upstairs At The Gatehouse Wednesday: Oliver at Romford Brookside Theatre Sunday: Midlife Cowboy at Islington Pleasance Theatre ( a brand new musical at a venue I haven't visited before) (Added Evening With Bonnie Langford at Richmond last Friday (wonderful) and Sunshine Gang at the Bridewell on Saturday. Disappointed with Midlife Cowboy tonight, songs and cast okay but weak script, few laughs and all a bit pedestrian.) Monday : Falsettos Tuesday : Big Wednesday : Me and the Girls matinee at Eastbourne Devonshire Park, then The Producers at Croydon Ashcroft Theatre Saturday: Singing In The Rain at Petersfield Festival Hall Sunday: That'll Be The Day at Dartford Orchard Theatre

Les Mis concert on Thurs. My 40th birthday present to myself, plus early birthday presents for my parents. It's our favourite musical so really looking forward to it.

Stasia No Showstoppers this time? They have a show on 23rd. Or have you decided that from your point of view they're unlikely to top the last one you saw?!

The Paines Plough pop-up theatre has popped-up in Doncaster Market Place, so I'm going to pop by tonight to see On The Other Hand, We're Happy.
Even at my great age it's still possible to experience new things!

Sir Andrew Lloyd-Webber in conversation with Nile Rodgers at The Other Palace on Sunday (sorry but I can’t picture ALW strutting his funky stuff to Chic, tbh so don’t know what sort of questions will be asked)
