Haha, I just read that as well and wondered about sharing the link here but didn't know where and how to post it.
I'm intrigued by the fact that a Maddie revival is afoot. I missed it the first time round and it may not be very good, but I still like the idea of bringing back some of the "flops" of the period as limited runs in one of the many active fringe venues (which weren't really around back then).

I would love 'Jack the Ripper' to be revived as it's such a fabulous show - when the cd came out I played it constantly and it's still a favourite!

Out of The Blue opened at the Shaftesbury practically overnight. There was no marketing, and had zero money in the box office when it opened. I dont have a clue how they expected it to survive. it had an amazing cast for that time.

It was quite a quality 90's cast but with not a lot to work with and no discernable narrative thrust. "Lots of mid-tempo singing followed by a bomb blast...end"
