It doesn't get them annoyed. It galvanises them.
And mislabelling people racist for expressing concerns about mass immigration is ridiculous and makes the accuser look like a bit of a dick.
You really should read the whole thread for context - first, not my words, second I said some not all (putting a number on it, around 10%). We've been here before, at different times and places. Trying to be nice to this group and understanding their concerns is the last thing you should do. Trump is effectively Oswald Mosley and the British knew how to deal with him, I have faith in America that they will do the same. We had a number of blackshirts but, being a primarily conservative nation, they were scorned. The problem with the liberal elite is that they are too nice, thinking everyone just needs a good discussion about the issues. Meanwhile they are missing what is happening beneath their noses. "Trump is effectively Oswald Mosley" and this absolutely comical comparison is where I leave...

Mosley hedged between different parties, came out as a demagogue and racist, tried to ape his idols on the continent and was defeated, vanishing into obscurity. Replace Mosley's idols with Putin and you're pretty much getting a do over; not completely the same but enough to set off alarm bells. As for the thirties being rerun we also seem to have a party mired in accusations of anti-Semitism, although maybe not the same one,

Hillary made Trump look like a 5 year old.
Credit where credit is due.

Great to know that Trump isn't just a racist homophobe.

Great to know that Trump isn't just a racist homophobe. Of course what Trump spoke about doing Bill Clinton actually did and his wife covered up for him. Dismal choice of candidates.

Of course, in the U.S. The average vacation time is 2 weeks, according to last weeks New York Times, Trump has had one almighty tax holiday.

Of course what Trump spoke about doing Bill Clinton actually did and his wife covered up for him. Dismal choice of candidates. There is a world of difference. I don't think Bill Clinton is a misogynistic male elitist for a start. Trump has appalling views on women. Uh ? Words are worse than actions ? You don't think that Clinton's abuse of his position as Governor and then President to groom and abuse dozens, perhaps hundreds, of women counts ? That he was closely associated with a subsequently convicted paedophile ? That his wife said "These women are trash - no-one will believed them". That his campaign manager said "These are the sort of women you get if you drag a dollar bill through a trailer park ?". None of that is misogynistic ? Admit it - you don't think that's worse only because he is a Democrat. When Trump says he heard Bill say far worse about women when they used to play golf together it is hard to disbelieve him. And his wife covered it all up for him. Terrible two candidates.

Not just the appalling comments about women in general, but what he has said about his own daughter - Trump is a truly charming individual.
I don’t get how he has a following of rich and micro-celebrity women. Jon Voight and Pat Boone are sad Republican nut jobs so no surprise there, but the Trumpette/Real Women for Trump movement. Ugh.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's not decided between these two in an election.

Hasn't Hillary been lining her pockets too though? "The Hillary Clinton net worth total of $31.3 million comes from analyzing her Public Financial Disclosure Reports. Bill Clinton has an estimated net worth of $80 million. That gives a combined Bill and Hillary Clinton net worth of $111 million dollars." XXX

Honestly I don't give a rat's ass if Hillary is flawed AF, she's got decades of experience and you could trust her to have a conversation with a foreign leader without bringing on the apocalypse. I love the sweet idea that we should always be able to vote for the best candidate in politics, but the reality is that we're only ever voting for the least worst, and Hillary is at least not a flaming manure truck of sexual assault and flagrant racism.

I've got a lot of female US friends on facebook who gloat about not watching the debates because Dancing With The Stars is on. Another lot of female friends are very vocally against Trump and some of their fb friends give their reasons for voting Trump - one of which, and I kid you not - " I don't know about his politics but I've read Hillary is crooked and I liked (Trump) on The Apprentice".

I've actually never seen anyone say they're voting for Hillary solely because she's a woman, just a lot of people claiming that that's why people are voting for her. I doubt there's much of an overlap between those voting Hillary and those that would have voted for Sarah Palin.
