Booked for Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff. It'll be great to see a big Northern Stage production in Cardiff. With Tiger Bay here in a couple of weeks, another big musical set in our docks past, there seems to be a new trend!

Tickets just gone on sale for Newcastle, first venue of the tour. Managed to get opening night for a very reasonable £23 but there are lots of ten pound tickets left for other nights.

I could have seen this in Leeds, York or Nottingham. I decided on the latter, mainly due to cost. Just £10.50 for a seat on the front row at the Friday matinee. I don't think I've ever been to a matinee on a Friday before!

I chose Newcastle as top price student tickets are £10 compared to £49 when it gets to Leeds, Its probably a false economy as I need to travel to Newcastle but at least its a day out!

Anymore news on casting? Would love to see Rachel Tucker, and Sally-Ann Triplett for that matter!

I've booked some £10 tickets in Newcastle. Seem to be side view rather than restricted so let's see!

The Live Theatre in Newcastle is tiny and they don't seem to be selling all rows so those ten pound tickets look like a bargain. I've bought three nights so far but if Rachel Tucker is involved I could be tempted to go every night.
The fact that she hasn't said she isn't doing it gives me hope!

Its playing at northern stage, not live theatre.

Sorry, it's been one of those days.
I was actually at both the Live Theatre and the Northern Stage today. Both great venues.

It depends on when in the run you have booked (and the offer being repeated) but last year Virgin East Coast had a January sale for travel between 30 January and 31 March, with booking from 9 to 13 January 2017.

Megabus from Leeds to Newcastle is very cheap and just takes a couple of hours.

I asked Rachel today if she was doing this and she said she had not been asked.
My heart died a bit inside.

Well they've cast Jimmy "crocodile shows" Nail already so they really need to get their priorities right.

He's a bit of a local 'celeb'. Did it on Broadway but famous in North East for Spender and Auf Weierdesin Pet (no, I can't spell it...) and the pop song "Ain't no doubt".

Ahaha, I actually quite enjoy the cast album for this so I'm cautiously looking forward to seeing it. Told my mom that Jimmy Nail was going to be in it and now she wants to come with! So clearly that stunt casting is working on some people

Am I the only person who keeps seeing the title of this show and thinking it's about fans finally deciding to give up on pairing off characters?

Producer Karl Sydow said: "After protracted negotiations carried out in good faith we regret to announce the production's offer of employment to Jimmy Nail has been withdrawn. All at The Last Ship thank him for his generosity and enormous contribution during what has been an eight year journey."

Isn't it just!
I live in Newcastle and the tour starts here so had everything crossed. She said at her gig she hasn't doing it but I always hoped that it would somehow happen. Alas, not to be.

For fans of the Fleeshman guns, it looks like he keeps them hidden away for this. More is the pity. But he does have a lovely denim jacket with a fluffy collar so that's nice. There's also a McGann in it. I don't know which one, they all look the same. Sting's still got style-r
