I love the idea of Latrice more than the reality I think. She has a very warm and human, non threatening persona, she can look fierce in photos but when did she ever excel in a challenge except that prison sketch in season 4?. She gets a total pass from the judges on her runway make up when that Dorito Orange powder she uses is very evident in the finished look. Coco Montrese got read to filth on that I recall.
She’s not going to win this, and don’t fall for the “I need the one hundred thousand dullaz to get married” shtick, she founded the LRI Talent agency sending many of these Queens out on the road all over the world, including Trinity.

^Also the “Natural Woman” lipsynch at the end of the pregnant lady drag (did I really just type that?)

Monique is really getting on my nerves - enjoyed her last season but find her so arrogant and egotistical now! I think Latrice or Monique could be next to go, just don’t seem to have truly shone like the others so far.
Really enjoying Valentina so much more than I did on S9, she’s so likeable now! Probably my favourite. Hoping for Naomi, Monet, Valentina and Trinity in top 4...my favourite queens on the season and very good too

{Spoiler - click to view} Well i can see this decision will be controversial but i agree with it. I agree with the poster above, the idea of Latrice is better than the actual reality. When it comes to it, she;s not performed well in any of the challenges really other than the reading challenge and her runways are 90% sequined boring gowns. In amongst this company she just feels a bit old fashioned and basic.

No queen deserves to stay or win based on their 'legendary status' or based on how long they have been doing drag. if you can't rise to the top in the challenges then you go home. I'm glad Latrice has gone. In many ways, Latrice is already a winner as one of the most famous queens from any series, so she really didn't need the title to improve her status. And she just wasn't good enough to win the $100,000.
Next weeks Lady Bunny roast looks good, but when some of these queens try to write comedy, it's terrible. I end up watching most of it through my fingers because its so bad.

Why is no-one talking to Monique about her appalling make-up? Her choice of contouring colours is just awful.
I just don't see how she won that lipsync - I really don't

At least Monique played up to the Tina Turner song, Manilla was doing... i dont know what. But IMO, there was no competition who the winner winner was.
But can we talk about Ru's runway outfit?? HIDEOUS!

I don't know why they bring back such recent queens, they need time on the road before coming back for All Stars. I loved Monet and Monique but Monet is not delivering and Monique is annoying, the squealing and attempts to brand a catchphrase.
I loved Trinity on her season but she seems a bit bitchier this season. Gia was a hot mess, I don't want to get into a debate here about drag and trans but mocking your peers for 'looking like dudes' is not going to add anything to the debate. I'd have preferred to see Sonique in this season over Gia.
Loved Latrice but like other posters I'm questioning why, she has a warm motherly personality but realistically she's not a good competitor.
Valentina fits Ru Paul's narrow vision of what drag is and while she serves fierce looks and can lip sync and dance that does not a drag queen make. And to quote Too Wong Foo "And when a tired little Latin boy puts on a dress, he is simply a boy in a dress!"
Naomi has upped her game as well as her lips.
Jasmine had potential but she's not a professional she'll just turn up and thrive off a live audience or rant on camera. She doesn't take direction or write her routines.
I like Manilla she's an all rounder and she has the humour I expect all my drag queens to have, and she has that subversive edge this 'pretty queens' don't have.
Farrah's personality nobody can warm to but I don't know why she got so much criticism over her fall, I thought, unless I missed it, she got up and recovered and concluded the performance. Performers fall if she didn't recover well that's another story.
Anyway I think overall it's a weak season for me. Trinity, Manilla and Valentina are probably going to be top three.

I fast forwarded through most of this week’s court stuff. Unfunny and lame.

I fast forwarded through most of this week’s court stuff. Unfunny and lame. These sketches of Tv Shows like Jersey Justice and 90310HO I always find Messy. I did like the Season 6 version GASP but on the whole they fail to deliver.

Whilst I am aware of Jersey as an overall 'thing', I don't know enough of the intricacies to fully appreciate/understand/enjoy a parody of it. It was exaggeration but not consistently entertaining.
Plus in terms of the balance of the competition, we have had two big improv challenges back to back - which is a bit samey. It might have been better to have structured the show differently - so perhaps in an episode with an even number of contestants - that way you wouldn't have the third wheel in one team (which clearly didn't help Monet)
I guess it is good that no-one is dominating the show in terms of wins like Dela did with the first half of AS3. But the quality isn't quite there overall. I get the feeling that whoever wins will not be highly regarded at the end of it. They will be another Trixie rather than an Alaska.

Did you see Manila’s instagram ruveal? www.pinknews.co.uk/2019/01/07/malina-luzon-menstrual-pad-drag-race-all-stars/I am loving the artistic pun on “pad”, even more than the attempt to normalise menstruation. I am disappointed but not surprised by RuPaul’s response. I can’t escape the feeling that he’s a big old misogynist. Being all “ew, menstral blood” is such a boring response from a gay man. I’m enjoying the fan theory that there’s a tonne more surprising stuff about to go down on the show, that Manila is not top three, and she now doesn’t give a sh*t about pissing off the show. She is very clear in her insta post that it was Ru who said it was bad taste, not the producers or the network.

And another thing.
Why is Stacey Lane Matthews constantly popping up in this season? Clip I just saw on insta suggests she’s in the next episode too.
Is the “AllStars Rule” that Ru says she’s going to break (from the trailer at the end of the last show) possibly SLM entering the competition?

I believe I know what the rule break is - but won't post it in public (or in spoilers as I am sure I am not the only one who can't resist those tags...!)

Yes i know what the break is as well i think. {Spoiler - click to view} By all accounts the next ep is rather dramatic and Ru doesn't like the outcome so....

I’ve heard {Spoiler - click to view} They make the bottom two perform the Lipsync and one of them goes. Then next week one of the eliminated queens comes back in.

I heard that {Spoiler - click to view} Both the bottom two get saved. Ru apparently cancels the elimination because neither lip syncs were good enough for her. But actually the bottom two happens to be two she probably wouldn't want to go home if she could help it so take your conclusions from that what you will....

I know we only get an edited version of each of the Roasts - but there appeared to be some truly dreadful performances. I am sure they weren't as bad as they were made to appear - but there were certainly enough bad moments to make it look like they were awful.
Trinity, Naomi and Valentina clearly struggled. Monique just doesn't know when to stop.
Valentina's level of self-delusion is worrying.
The final 'twist' felt somewhat contrived - that is because it was! How it plays out remains to be seen - but the returners look even more narked than usual.

Will this season ever end? Will Ru just keep bringing people back until Shangela wins?

Biggest gag was that Farrah wasn’t wearing a pink frock.
