I dislike Brendan and his lack of respect so much that it's making me not like Charlotte! Damnit I meant Gemma! Don't know why I typed Charlotte. Gemma and her 'Bear Necessitates' routine were a real improvement from last week. Charlotte...well she got through it (I do feel sorry for her)

And he's doing some lovely work too. Keep it up Joe, if only for your lovely smile and wee Scots accent. Loved Joe and Debbie tonight. And I am warming to Aston as a person as well- and he dance was obviously excellent. I also really like Charlotte and I hope she continues to get better as well. I'm pleased they're turning into a popular couple - as a new pro I thought Katya did the most wonderful stuff with Ed Balls last year and she really does deserve a contender. I too am warming to Aston - though I've already said that Janette may have a lot to do with that - whatever, I agree they are a good couple. I like Charlotte as a person. However, I'm struggling to understand how such a stunning woman can dance so unsexily! I honestly hope she will soon be put out of her misery - her face when Brenda was arguing was painful.

And poor Aljaz in that outfit! how the boy didn't pass out I don't know! I also liked Davood, despite the 'ferret in pants' comment. He's not going to win, but he's doing a decent enough job and he seems nice and is pretty. That's good enough for now

I think Katya is fabulous, so pleased that she has someone so likeable and with potential this year! Her choreography for the Viennese Waltz was fab!
I'm really warming to Alexandra and Aston, and I also think Debbie is wonderful. Susan is hilarious and at least she's trying! I'm tolerating Brian more than I thought I would as this week was a definite improvement!
The ones I can't warm to are Gemma (whatever that dance was, it wasn't a Charleston, and I just find her a bit annoying), the Reverend (just not funny) and Charlotte, who just looks terrified every time she has to dance. I don't think much of Ruth and Simon's dance ability either, and I'm just indifferent to Davood - I think he's being let down by Nadiya's awful choreography and might well have had more impact with another pro.

I think Debbie McGee is fabulous and the judges were overly harsh on her with this 10 second rule thing and too much “messing about” at the start of the dance. She’s not the choreographer, they should be marking her on how she executed his instructions, not the rights and wrongs of the routine. Perhaps they feel they have to be hard in her because of her dance background.
She’s got an amazing pair of lallies too.

Some of the costumes weren't great - Simon's, Richard's sprang to mind. I thought Joe was Topol's character from Fidler on the Roof when he came on.
Tess was okay as a co-presenter but I just don't see her as a main presenter, Zoe Ball would be better IMO.
Brendan was disrespectful to Shirley, he wouldn't have argued with Len like that.
Karen and Janette seemed to be competing for viewing time in the competitor's area too.

You’re such a palone with meshigener ideas, Miss Tibby, and I just love palones like that, me... (I wondered if our anthony thought they were her willets!) NB- this probably reads like a Google translation, but I’ve had a go and done my best!

It's at times like this that I'm actually spinning on my head!

It's a sad day at Strictly when Debbie and Joe aren't topping the leaderboard after their routines this week. Clearly Susan has the whole package and probably should win the whole thing (that Wonder Woman routine was sensational) but it's still all about Jonnie for me.

May I recommend a thorough study of Round the Horne, readily available CDs and prob on internet. Hello, my name's Julian and this is my friend, Sandy. Then we can parley all night.

But I shall be all aunt nells from now on and hope to split your farting crackers with my meshingener wit. We'll have a cackle later. Bona nochy you fungus....

Sorry, I just don’t get Brian. I think I know what you mean, lynette . My feeling is that he doesn't know how to drop the slightly annoying comedy persona, which is just about OK in the introductory videos but makes for a confusing watch when he feels genuine emotion after a dance. Or something like that..

I have to say that I hardly noticed Alexandra during the Paso - her costume and lighting combined to make her far less visible. Gorka, on the other hand, was on fire. Whereas I was so engrossed in watching Alexandra dancing that I didn't even notice Gorka was shirtless until they'd finished dancing! Everyone's entitled to their own opinion of course, but I have to admit I'm baffled as to how anyone could think what Alexandra has danced so far is robotic, perfunctory or sterile...no more so than every other contestant there anyway. How you can judge that she is trying less than anyone else is beyond me, particularly when everything I've seen suggests she is training just as hard and putting just as much effort in as everyone else. Just because she isn't ridiculously loud and OTT doesn't mean she isn't enjoying it or putting the effort in, it just means she has a different personality to the loudmouths...

I don't mind Ms Burke at all. I don't feel strongly about her either way.
In the Paso, I felt that the styling meant she faded into the background - not that she danced it badly or with any less intent or skill.
I do have to wonder whether there is a conflict with Craig judging her - given that he directed her in the Sister Act tour. It is very rare for one of the judges to have a significant previous connection with one of the 'celebs' - and it just made me think that it is something that the producers need to consider if they are going to bring in more people with stage experience under Craig.

For what it's worth, I thought Alexandra was incredible- not convinced that her styling made her any less visible. Not sure how anyone can hardly notice one half of a two person dance when the dance relies so heavily on interaction between the two.
If people think Alexandra is boring, then what on earth do they think of Mollie, Gemma, Ruth and Charlotte?! They seem like nice people but their performances so far have left me cold- there is a total lack of stage presence or charisma.
I agree that it may be problematic that Craig worked closely with Alexandra, but he's hardly giving her an easy ride so far.
What did people make of Brendan/Shirley's interaction?
