Of course the judges have their favourites, just like everyone watching does, it's all subjective. Yes it's only natural to have favourites, but as professional judges whose opinions count for half of the result, they should be completely impartial each week, regardless of who they think is the best over the course of the series. I think no matter who your favourite/least favourite is, everyone can agree that the marks were not right tonight. |

I agree Anthony40 - will be interesting to see how popular Danny is now that he's not at the top of the leader board. (Even though he deserves to be.) Can anyone remember whether they dance their higher or lower scored dance in the DO? The couples get to choose - so they usually choose their highest scoring, but not always |

No judge of anything ever is completely impartial, everyone has things they do and don't like, and the judges also see different things as they can't watch everything at once - they may miss a foot fault if they're concentrating on the top line at a particular point, for example. And that's beside the fact that three quarters of the panel aren't ballroom and Latin trained so wouldn't know the correct technique for any remotely complex step. Whether you think the marks were right or not is nothing more than your opinion. I agree with you, but it's only opinion. |

Danny's American Smooth was utterly wonderful. It was a fantastic example of two people really dancing with one another. His control and her trust in him deserved 11s not 10s (and certainly not a 9)

I'm getting really tired of all the pointless conspiracy theories - the winner doesn't always do the tour so to suggest it's fixed to get rid of those not doing the tour has no basis whatsoever. Of course the judges have their favourites, just like everyone watching does, it's all subjective. I'm away for the weekend so won't get to watch until tomorrow night, but Danny, Ore and Claudia would be my preferred final, so hopefully Louise ends up in the dance-off. If it is her against Claudia I'll be happy. I'm really tired of the pointless objections to the conspiracy theories. Members of the top three usually are on the tour. Yes you can find examples where they werent but if you think there is no connection between the finalists and the tour then I think you are fooling yourself. |

I don't even think the judges believed in their own marks tonight though, I think they had a good idea on how they would mark it before the show even started. The push back and complaints tonight online of biased marking have been the worst I've ever seen for this show. |

As I always say though, we see things from different angles and the judges can only see from their fixed position. |

Goodness me. Has there ever been a dance-off with two couples that delivered such incredible dances that week? The worst possible dance off for me but ultimately the right result of who went between the two. I honestly don't understand what Louise did tonight that made people want to pick up the phone and vote.
Only positive thing I can say is that I can at least put all my support towards Danny next week. He better win! |

I think Louise must've topped the public vote - I just don't get it.
I also think it means Danny came bottom of the public vote, that or second from bottom with Claudia bottom. |

I think in terms of public vote it probably went:
1 - Louise
2 - Claudia
3 - Ore
4 - Danny.
I don't think it necessarily means much bad news for Danny. People presume he's safe and were eager to save the others: Claudia and Ore that have been in dance-offs before and Louise who was bottom of the leaderboard for the first time. It does mean that Louise has very strong public support though which is just completely bewildering to me. I do think Claudia's voters will cross over to Danny if anyone for the most part though. |

Has anyone else noticed that in this series that once vote off the celebrities are gone?
Let me explain. In the past when a celebrity has been voted off, usually within a week or two they're back in the audience watching a supporting the remaining celebrities however that doesn't appear to be the case this year.
I mean we've seen celebrities for previous years there, such as last night, but on one from this year who who'd been voted off

Do they? I would have said the exact opposite. Celebs from past series are usually there every year but other than the Christmas special and the final the current series ones don't show up.

I think Danny is the Tom Chambers of this series. Tom went on to perform musical theatre in the West End. But for me Tom had more charm and wasn't so good so early on. Danny will win unless the public go 'funny' and that wouldn't surprise anybody this year would it? I don't think the scores are fixed but I do notice when someone pushes an idea like for example when Claudia W pointed out that Ore hadn't had any dance experience. Just a nod to the voters, then.
Me, I've got a whole conspiracy theory about the costumes.

Oh yes, the costume styles and colours are well to the fore of the battalion of means the producers can influence the vote along with the choice of music which does not suit the dance and order of dance et.
So putting a celeb in a silly costume or putting a girl in an unsuitable colour - brown and green are especially unflattering colours.

Yep I've noticed often when the girls wear a different colour wig they get in the dance off (Naga and Laura this season) possibly due to being unrecognisable to casual viewers. Really the couples should choose their own music, the order of the couples should be rotated fairly each week, everyone should alternate between ballroom and latin and people should have the right to change something about their costume they really don't like.

Charming, danced beautifully - and seemingly effortlessly - and it was just a joy to watch. I loved it so much, I went for the matinee and got a ticket for the evening performance immediately afterwards! i even liked him in White Christmas at the Dominium. i do hope Danny wins. He's been so adept at both ballroom and Latin. That jive! That samba! That quickstep! |
