Another disappointing week, what happened to the excellence of movie week!?
Claudia & AJ by far the best, despite being given completely unsuitable music again.
The first week that Danny has been anything less than superb, I'm sure he'll manage to stay in though.
Anastacia or Ed to go for me this week. Don't quite understand what people find so entertaining about Ed. Judge Rinder is amusing and entertaining whilst still actually being a decent dancer.
Marking from the judges was all over the place this week.

A few thoughts.
Hair and make up, lighting and sets were all outstanding. I though the church effect for Danny and Ote's dance amazing.
I appreciate that Judge Rinder was supposed to be a moth, but I wondered if his 'wings' came off whether he could have used that as a cape?
A pity about Danny and Ore tonight. Thought Laura was outstanding and that Daisy was going to burst into tears.
Thought Greg was severely underscored by Craig.
As much as it was obvious that he was enjoying himself, Ed actually made me uncomfortable. Sorry, he just did. But ell done on the massive increase in the scores.

Ed Balls lol. *BOOM*. I thought he was great. He's going nowhere
Problem we have with this series is that many of them have peaked too early. I suspect Danny and Ore will come back next week with something amazing after getting a bit of critisism.
Anastasia out this week.

Yes, we've had enough of Ed's brand of "dancing" now. Time to go, I reckon, to be fair to the others. Some of the women this year are dull, dull, dull, darling (didn't miss you last week, Louise, and already forget what you did tonight.) Daisy? Louise? Good but this time next year we'll have forgotten they were in it. Some costumes did the dancers no favours. Jo and Ore??? The lighting detracted from some of the dancing... The worst music ever... EVER! Loving Judge Rinder's efforts, and AJ and Claudia still my favourites.

Rinder's tits repulse me.i don't know why, I just find them/him repugnant. I wish the costume department would put them away for him and spare me. I'd rather he be ejected than Ed Balls who is thankfully keeping covered up.

It is amazing how Louise manages to bore even with a Charleston on Halloween week.

Didn't enjoy this week v much. Rubbish music ( I know it's my age ) and awful costumes which hid personalities and did nobody any favours. They should rethink this theme. Do children like it? I've no idea but tonight looked like a kids' programme that grown ups could watch rather than an adult dance programme that is ok for kids to watch. There is a subtle difference.

Terrible week.
The Louise breakthrough narrative had clearly been planned so she was going to get high scores no matter how bland the dance ended up being. Ore's Charleston was clumsy and very oddly danced, possibly the most over marked dance ever.
Liked Laura for the first time and Daisy was decent too and very good from Claudia. Anastasia wasn't great so I can see her going which would be a shame but she wouldn't last much longer anyway.
Shame about Danny and felt sorry for Greg & Natalie, what else could she have done with that song, and it was a cheek for Craig of all people to pull them up on lack of content when he usually praises people for daring and contemporary dances.
Bored of Judge Rinder want him gone soon. Thought Ed may have over stayed his welcome after the last two weeks but that managed to be his most entertaining routine yet and not a bad dance either.

Pretty much as vdcni says above. I thought Laura's was probably the best dance. Compared to other Halloween weeks, it felt a bit of a letdown - the music and dances weren't as witty as I remember them being.

That flying trick where they come down from the ceiling centre stage has been done to death too.

I normally love Halloween Strictly but just seemed a bit blah this year. Not sure if it's because none of the celebs are appealing much to me. I think Claudia was my fave after yesterday was a lot better than last week's and Laura certainly improving but I'm not rooting for anyone. It's annoying me about judges crazy scoring as well I've taken to solely watching the clips on YouTube!!

I look forward to Halloween week but found it all a bit busy, the costumes and make up seemed over fussy, the staging and lighting was too- all actually very distracting from the dancing. You couldn't see some people's feet for dry ice at times. Just a little OTT, and perhaps explains the over/under marking. They probably decided on their marks while watching much more stripped back performances in rehearsal.

My thoughts on last night:
It's such a shame about Danny and Oti. Can somebody explain their "mistakes" as I couldn't see any? I thought Oti's choreography is amazing (as per usual) and I loved the elastic band loads, it worked extremely well.
Shame about Ore and Joanne too. I thought he would smash the Charlestown considering he was brilliant with the Jive.
Claudia and Louise were very good as was Laura.
I hate to say it as I love her but I think Anastasia could be in trouble? I said it last week and I'll say it again, Gorka is so much better than Brendan! It's weird how she gets 30 with Gorka but only 24 with Brendan. Gorka is a better choreographer because Brendan makes it all about himself which makes Anastasia look bad! All his solo parts are terrible and so corny and he needs to just calm down and get on with it without being so OTT with himself. Gorka and Anastasia have better chemistry too!
The standard is very good this year. Oh and the attention to makeup is extraordinary, it's so so clever!

The make-up was fantastic.
Danny's most obvious mistakes were about 50 seconds in or so. Some steps in foxtrot involve stepping forwards between your partner's legs, but for others you step outside them. It's quite difficult, but he gets it wrong and nearly trips up Oti at one point and then his footwork is off time for a while.
I loved Greg's rumba as a story and performance and it was the dance I most enjoyed all evening. Very believable. But equally, it had barely 3 steps of actual rumba in it so I can see where Craig was coming from. I'd probably have scored it highly given it was Halloween week.
Also thought Ed's cha was very entertaining, had a lot of cha content and his dancing was actually pretty decent. I liked it and think he deserves to stay.
Anastasia and Brendan easily the worst for me. Terrible choreography!

I think that Ed, Greg,Ore, Laura,Judge Ringer and Claudia have all done well enough to stay.
My prediction is Anastasia.

I think Anastacia is definitely in the dance-off, she was really dreadful this week and I'm not sure the public are really warming to her. I think Daisy or a surprise Louise could be in the dance-off as well. I think whoever she's up against, if Anastacia is in the dance off this week, she's gone.
Strangely, I thought Ed was the best this week. Claudia was great too - her and AJ are just such a cute Disney couple. The routine this week was the perfect one for her.
I still say Danny and Ore in the final. They're head and shoulders above the rest by quite some way. A surprise Claudia or Greg in the final too I think.

I think if we're going off skills of the dancers alone it should be Danny, Ore and Claudia in the final (although I admit I'd prefer Danny, Claudia and Daisy).

The judges seem to be doing everything in their power to avoid a Louise in the Dance Off situation. She was way overmarked last night. Maybe she's not getting the votes - I always forget about her. If someone can't make an impression on me with a Charleston, it's unlikely they ever will.

I agree with you that it will probably be Danny, Ore and Claudia in the final with Louise or Daisy probably finishing 4th? I don't think Greg will get near to the final - he's not the greatest dancer compared to Danny, Ore and Claudia and Louise/Daisy are better than him too.

I'm sorry but I just find Louise dull (he yawns).
Sure her dancing is good but I think your personality ha to come across and when she goes up with Kevin to speak to Claudia, nothing. Cold, wet, fish!
I've no doubt she a loving, doing wife and mother (and God loves us all, yadda, yadda, yadda) but...

I think Louise is just very down to earth and humble so she isn't going to be loud-mouthed etc. and she is probably quite shy. She seems like a really nice lady
