Danny & Oti doing the Charleston in Blackpool to Puttin' On the Ritz sounds genuinely perfect. Let's just hope they have good outfits to top it all off.

Out here too. So will be avoiding popping in here until after the Results Show tomorrow evening just in case anyone's rather accurate predictions (*cough*) spoil it for me.

Sounds like you might have a bit of a cough caiaphas. Hope you're not coming down with anything. Some hot water, honey and lemon might help.

Tonights show was (simply) fabulous.
Colourful, dynamic routines, lots of positive comments.
The opening number I though was extremely good. So dynamic! Great costumes all round.
An outstanding routine from Danny, Ore (close to it, but no tears), Louise, Claudia and Judge Rinder..
Well done Ed. Lots of positive of comments and (if not necessarily the best dancer) again, he's improved and if noting else, was in time and clearly having fun. A well deserved standing ovation.
Greg; I liked it a lot, but it just didn't work for me or meet the standard.
It must be so overwhelming for the celebrities and so much pressure on the. Well done to all.
Dare I say my prediction for the dance off?

Bit of a let down this week apart from Danny's well deserved 40.
Louise can dance well but there was no passion or drama there at all. I wasn't a fan of Susannah but at least she could put some oomph into her dances.
Ore a big yawn yet again. Claudia I normally like but she was too placed and careful here. Rinder was messy and he continues to be a bore. Ed got better as the dance went on but it didn't have the same impact as last week. A shame Greg messed up in places as otherwise this would have been his best dance.
Would love to lose Rinder this week.

Loved the 'One' opener but sooo wanted it to end with some step/kick/step/kick Claudia, it's obviously just me but it looked completely out of time for most of it. Cute though. Again. Zzzzzz. Ore, brilliant, god I loved that whole stop motion concept. Louise, still not quite committing. Should have been in a different coloured gown, she was blending in with the support dancers. Danny, classiest charleston like EVER! Greg. Dreadful. Wants it so bad, isn't going to get it. Ed,why was he put into that terrible blue suit? It totally killed it. Also all that hands on hips choreography did nothing for the look of the dance. Rinder, hated it. And he was in It Takes Two Friday acting like a right piece of work. Keep your bad moods to yourself dear. Bottom two, Greg and Rinder, Greg leaves. And its 20:27 before any results. Just in case I'm correct @caiaphas!

I also thought Claudia's was messy tonight. It was too fast. I'm disliking her pro more each week. I know he's young but can't he see that he needs to slow things down and not insist on putting the kitchen sink into EVERY dance? I'm actually worried for her this week.
Loved Ore and Danny. Hated the backing dancers and the camera work. I found it hard to see what they were actually doing.
My prediction for bottom 2 is Greg and Ed.
(And I don't think Caiaphas was asking people not to predict. Last week someone mentioned the fact that Ed had got to Blackpool before the results show was aired, so I thought they were referring to that.)

I feel Ed doesn't go I'll be very annoyed. I think he should withdraw if he gets through this week, it's not funny anymore - it's boring now and all the other dancers are good so they shouldn't be going out over him.
Danny & Oti - sublime! They have to win

He's avoided the dance-off every week so far because of his high public vote. How "good" a dancer is is just one factor affecting the electorate's choice of who they want to stay in the competition.

Claudia - First time I've been a bit disappointed by her. Although once again they drew the short straw on music, outfits and there was way too much going on in the background. I also think the jive just isn't her dance. Had no issue with AJ's choreography. Overmarked by the judges but she's been consistently undermarked in the past so I don't care too much.
Ore - I liked it, the best he's been in weeks. It was slightly stiff though and overmarked, definitely didn't deserves 10s.
Louise - Dance itself was great. Acting/performance once again dire from her. Not a hint of aggression in her face. Overmarked (are we sensing a pattern here?)
Danny - Only dance tonight that made me sit up and pay attention. I could watch these two dance to the great American songbook all day everyday. Still preferred their quickstep, but more than happy for this to get the first 40 of the season and glad it was these two that did it.
Ed - Over it.
Greg - Much more entertaining than usual, thanks to the choreography mostly. Still not coming anywhere near close to achieving technical perfection but this was a good dance for him and suited him. Unfortunately he's just lagging behind the rest (other than Ed) so even when he has a good week, it doesn't really seem like it.
Judge Rinder - As I said last week I rarely like Salsas and this was a bit of a comedown after his beautiful Quickstep and Foxtrot. However, he did his best with it and entertained as always.
1. Danny 2. Ore 3. Louise 4. Claudia 5. Judge Rinder / Greg 6. Ed

I'm sick to death of seeing Judge Rinder doing flips.
Danny was really good. Claudia didn't suit that dance I'm afraid. I liked Greg. The rest I can take or leave.

They have to win I don't understand why anyone would vote for Ed, but to say he should withdraw is ridiculous - it's a show voted for by the public at the end of the day, and if more people want to keep Ed in than don't, that's their prerogative even though there will always be people who disagree with it. I'll only start to get really annoyed if he stays at the expense of the people who are actually really good - Ore, Claudia, Louise and Danny. If he stays longer than Rinder and Greg I don't really care. It usually becomes a dancing competition at some point though. And that probably also means Danny won't win, as he's clearly so much better than anyone else. I think it'll be a Danny, Louise and Ore final. I thought the show on the whole this week was pretty rubbish - only Danny was really good. The rest were overmarked - Ore was good but not 10-worthy as it was a bit skippy and Viennese Waltz is supposed to be flat, it's not the same swing and sway as the other ballroom dances; Claudia was really not good and I've no idea how that got 9s!; Louise had no passion or intensity at all in my opinion, it was a well-danced but very flat Paso; Greg was decent in hold but awful out of it; and I hated Judge Rinder's salsa. Backing dancers are just not necessary, ruined the whole thing for me!

I think the judges are obligated to mark the opening number high because it's not a good look to start the show with a load of negativity. Hence Claudia. Glad it wasn't just me who thought she was all over the shop with it.

Glad it wasn't just me who thought she was all over the shop with it. She went v wrong in first couple of minutes and was clumpy a bit... don't get me wrong, I adore her. And while I'm on my favourite thread.. what about that dreadful costume? Cheer leaders are nothing if not sexy. Get that cleavage out gal, just a bit, tasteful of course, and a nice fitting dress, please and then you'll make the final. If not, I reckon out next week.

Claudia has had one bad (and it wasn't even that bad) week, I think it's a bit far to say out next week.
I think the overmarking (which was especially bad last night) came from the judges wanting to hype up Blackpool and make it more of a big deal.

Agree Snutte , she is very good. But we are down to the cream of the crop now. I'm assuming Balls will be kept in as a joker maybe even to the final but won't be given the win. Unless the public is on another barmy campaign to kill elitism...ha ha. So up against Danny and Ore, Claudia needs all the teenyboppers she can get. She can beat Louise though if Louise has a poor week next week.

It's so clear they want Danny to win because there is no way that was a perfect scoring dance. He was out of time with Oti and the dancers for some of it and it was all rather laboured. Plus, he just doesn't have the personality for a charleston.
Ultimately, as good as he is I think it'll be a real shame if he wins because unlike any of the others he just hasn't made any progress since day one.
