Gotta say as great as Ore was, I thought Danny was better.

Ore was fabulous, he just edged Danny for me though they were both outstanding.
Poor Ed (and Katya) - he seemed to forget the whole thing!

Spoiler's in!! The following are just my opinions (as per last week's instructions), not the actual spoiler. Click at your peril!! Cant say I'm surprised, but the racism accusations will go through the roof.

{Spoiler - click to view} Three of the four people of colour out in the first three weeks is a little ridiculous. None of them were brilliant dancers, but neither are Ed, Anastacia and Lesley who could have spaced them out a little bit. Nevertheless, not a major loss and hopefully we'll have Ore in until the end or thereabouts.

Loved last night's show; this series just keeps getting better and better... Even the poorer dancers are good!
I like Ed, like his spirit and the way he chucks himself into whatever he's asked to do. And I imagine the public are seeing this week after week, so however low he is on the scoreboard, he'll continue to get his (deserved) standing ovation and stay in the competition. Danny Mac is outstanding. Looks 100% the part, and it's difficult to tell which is the pro and which is the celebrity when they're on the dance floor. Ore's jive was top notch. Lesley has gone up in my estimation: Anton struggles himself with any dance that's not ballroom, but he managed to put together a simple but sassy charleston to show off her incredible talents. 71! I agree that some of the celebs are quite forgettable like Laura, and I'm not really getting Louise at all. The little gymnast might have disappeared into obscurity were it not for that fabulous little chap she's been paired with. Not only is his choreography absolutely brilliant, pushing the boundaries and using her skills to the full each week, but he has the most engaging smile and looks a complete and utter cutie!
Naga or Anastacia in the dance off? (I read that Brendan spent the afternoon yesterday in hospital with chest problems, so all credit to him for turning up, keeping up and shutting up! That's the Strictly Spirit!)

They really should give Ed a break and allow him to do some ballroom. It's starting to look very obvious. Give the man a waltz for Christ's sake.

Last nights show was brilliant!
I am not a fan of the Rhumba but I though both Anastasia and Daisy performed it well.
If Ed doesn't go this week (and I hope he doesn't) than i reckon it'll be Naga who in all fairness (in my opinion) dances the best she ever did last night.
And if Naga does go, then in the next fortnight I'm predicting Ed, Laura and Anastasia
But this is turning out to be a two man race. Very exciting!

I really enjoyed last night's show. I too think Naga could be in trouble and maybe Anastasia.
Whilst Ed Balls isn't the best dancer I still like him in a way as he puts a lot of effort in and has obviously never danced before. That kind of attitude makes me want to root for him almost. Although there is only so far he can go before genuinely good dancers will start getting knocked out before him possibly.
Judge Rinder is very entertaining as well and I think behind the entertainment value he could actually be a very good dancer.
I'm not a huge fan of Daisy to be honest - she dances well but I can't warm to her.
Ore was fantastic though! I seriously think he could go on to win and he seems so genuinely moved by the praise he gets. I think he's my favourite so far.

That's the Strictly Spirit!) I thought Brendan looked like he was suppressing a cough during the judges comments. He wouldn't have dared mention anything after the issues with Anastacia, I guess, even if he wanted to.

Anton struggles himself with any dance that's not ballroom, but he managed to put together a simple but sassy charleston to show off her incredible talents. Anton won't have choreographed that Charleston, they get outside help with the Charleston, Argentine Tango and Salsa (except for the few pros who are salsa-trained like Janette and Karen) as none of the pros are specialists in those disciplines. And I really hate AJ's choreography - Claudia could be so much better if he actually put together something decent for her! Re the result: {Spoiler - click to view} There's nothing untoward at all about Melvin, Tameka and Naga being the first three out - Melvin was the worst dancer (he was worse than Ed week 1), Naga is probably the third worst dancer but unlike Ed doesn't have any kind of entertainment or endearing factor to garner public support, and because she's not the absolute worst she won't get the sympathy vote (which I suspect Ed got in droves tonight given he forgot his entire routine), and Tameka was polarising - she annoyed a lot of people, and she really wasn't a good dancer either.
Plus I don't think Ore or Danny (who after all is paired with a non-white professional dancer) are going anywhere anytime soon.
The voting patterns this series are not unusual at all, it just so happens that the ethnic minority celebs are mostly the poorest dancers on the show.
Assuming the vote does keep following the normal way of things, Anastacia, Ed and Judge Rinder will be the next to go.

Erm... just went to quote poster J above only to find that the Spoiler- click to view is completely viewable.... Is this right? ? That charleston Claudia did with AJ last week was outstanding, poster J! Total score 36 for week 3! You must be watching another show.

I'm really warming to Claudia - I thought she and AJ would be dull, but they have a terrific partnership and I think she is genuinely sweet. On It Takes Two, when he was asked what Claudia's biggest challenge was, he said, 'Trusting him' which made sense as she is used to doing it all on her own and I think one of the fun things is watching her begin to trust him. (She was also funny about all the things that went wrong at the end of the Charleston including kicking over some of the props.) Plus she's a worker - I admire hard work.
Ore was amazing and that partnership works so well. I've watched that jive three times.
Oti looked so beautiful last night and I liked the dance with Danny - there just isn't the sense of a journey with him - he's already there - so it's less exciting, but still so good.
That was Ed's weakest dance - it seemed inevitable that it would be (well that and the rhumba) - but I hope he goes through.
I thought it was Naga's best dance so far, but I don't enjoy her. She can't really act at all, so you can tell she's been told to use facial expressions but it's not clear what she's expressing.
I liked Louise's dance and that was the most flattering costume they've put her in so far.
I didn't understand the Judge's dance. It was slightly worrying.
I would again put Anastasia and Naga in my bottom two - but I've been saying that every week and Naga's support confounds me.
I'm waiting for the results show to learn the results so appreciate everyone not revealing them early.

This year, I feel a split between those who I like for their personalities but who aren't the greatest dancers (Greg, Ed) vs. those who are the best dancers (Danny, Ore, Louise) but who I can't warm to for whatever reasons.
I'm afraid to say that, as impressed as I am with his moves, Danny leaves me a little cold. I don't anticipate his dances beforehand- I actually forget he is even competing. Ditto Louise.
I find Ore to be actively quite annoying, and I've never warmed to Joanne. It just all seems a bit forced- the crying, the finger-wagging at the end of last night's dance, the false modesty. He puts me in mind of a more talented Peter Andre from last year. Not for me.
This leaves me with Claudia, who I think comes across as a genuinely warm and kind character but who stands out as a great dancer too. She is my favourite!
And I'm still hoping that Greg will have a breakthrough week when he'll jump up towards the top part of the leaderboard.

It seems you can't quote posts with spoilers in them, bit annoying! And no, I wasn't watching another show - read my post properly - AJ did not choreograph that Charleston, they are always done by Charleston-specialist external choreographers! Claudia is doing well at ballroom and ok at Latin (Charleston is neither), but I stand by my comments that AJ is a terrible choreographer!

Any chance you could lose the tone, poster J? It's a long, long time since I've been told to read something "properly"...
You stated that Claudia could be so much better, implying her partner has done nothing towards her achievements so far. But how do you get better than 36 marks in week 3?
You don't like AJ? Fine. But you can't really be suggesting the couple is doing badly. Can you?

The thing is, Naga wasn't the best dance in the competition so I wasn't surprised that she went. However, I think Tameka was a good dancer and had a good personality. Also Ore and Danny/Oti are bound to get to the end so there shouldn't be any more racism claims coming weeks

But you can't really be suggesting the couple is doing badly. Can you? The tone was because you seemed to be deliberately misconstruing what I said. At no point have I said they are doing badly, I said she could be better, in my opinion, if she had better ballroom and Latin choreography. She hasn't scored 36 for either of those, she scored 36 for a dance which her pro partner did not choreograph. So I think I'm entirely entitled to make the comments I did, and her score in the Charleston is completely irrelevant to the point I'm trying to make!

I don't watch on Sundays. All that fake tension does my head in. But I gather Naga has gone? Her rictus grin during that charleston can't have endreared her to the audience. It was odd to say the least.

I think the music was the issue with Claudia and AJ last night rather than the choreography.

Well with Gorka gone and now Pasha, is there any point in continuing to watch BurlyBeaR?
Calm down, breath onto a paper bag, don't hyperventilate.
If you need any support, I and I'm sure other TheatreBord posters are there to offer moral support.

Ore's missus better watch out though as I'm targeting supporting him now Am i am I the only person who finds Zoe Ball really friggin' annoying on It Takes Two? Yes I KNOW she's there to build everyone up, no negative stuff etc but jeez it's fake. Pull it back a bit love.

Sometimes I feel like Zoe is trying to 'Claudia Winkleman'-fy herself to try and be like how she was on the show. I know a lot of people also find Claudia really annoying but I absolutely love her.
