Sheena McDonald at The Lover last night.
Also in the bar beforehand and I see a lady I recognise, I nod at her and she gives the nod back - I meet a lot of people in my job and as I cant place her I think she is someone I've met through work (that happened at Edinburgh Airport last month). Imagine my "ooops" when 30 minutes later I discover she is actually the lead in the show when she comes on stage. Ah well.

Not in the audience as such, but I did walk past Stephen McGann in Covent Garden last night on my way to Girl From the North Country.

Warwick Davis and family in the audience for Eugenius tonight (not that surprising as he produced it!)

Not quite ‘in the audience’ but I walked past Armando Ianucci in Glasgow today and just about had to do a triple take.

Amber Rudd is a big theatre buff (genuinely). Every reason for her to be at LDJ.

Oh yes it was only fourth preview or something like that so she must have been looking forward to it. She seemed to be enjoying the play. I like her very much as a politician actually - even though I’m not a Conservative voter by any stretch. Which is most likely her biggest problem!

Sam Mendes at the Bridge for Julius Caesar on Sunday (or at least I assume he was there for the play - I only saw him in the lobby afterwards).
The guy in the front of me in the coat queue pointed him out to his girlfriend as being married to Rebecca Hall whose dad was the famous director, and I felt ashamed of myself for knowing that they aren't actually together anymore. I am definitely going to get my lunch hour Mail Online habit under control...

Very true, only the other day did Kirsty Young point out somebody's cellulite to them and say she was ashamed of being a woman thanks to #metoo

I knew Mendes and Hall were no longer together, but I had no idea he'd married Alison Balsom! Seems an unusual match somehow...

Mendes and Hall haven't been together for years !!! She is married to a (gorgeous) American actor with whom she appeared in the Broadway revival of MACHINAL directed by Lyndsey Turner. Mendes and Balsom have a kid.

Colin Morgan was at the Bridge yesterday for Julius Caesar. He was stood next to me for most of the show, and I could have hugged him when he asked a fellow audience member to stop taking photos on her phone (which she did the first two times Ben Whishaw appeared in front of her - she promptly stopped when he asked her to though)

I was at the matinee this week of the harrowing and very uncomfortable Frozen and right behind me was Ronnie Wood from the Rolling Stones, so glad it was Ronnie and not Bill Wyman.

One of the male holiday reps (not Jordan) from Ibiza Weekender on ITV2 was at Dreamgirls on Wednesday evening, attractive lady in tow. She may also have some name value, but I didn't recognise her. Sat in premium seats towards the front of the stalls. Both chatty and outgoing to the people around them.

At Grinning Man tonight (again) and saw Martin Neely and Jeremy Secombe in the audience and then saw Ed Miliband on the tube on the way back home

Had Boris Johnson at the Bridge yesterday for Julius Caesar. What was bizarre was that I literally bumped him as I walked past and there was no sign of any security with him...Isn't that a bit strange for such a high profile politician?

Amber Rudd at Long Day's Journey a few weeks ago only seemed to have a female friend with her and I would assume her and Johnson as Home and Foreign Secretaries would have equivalent security protection? You're right that Boris might seem to be more of a target though

You're right that Boris might seem to be more of a target though Perhaps his security was just blending in with the crowd. I do wonder what the rules are if he would be able to decide on a distance for them or not. Anyway that's a bit off topic! Nice to see him at the theatre. Maybe he learned him some lessons about politics...

I saw Jeremy Hunt at the Old Vic once with his wife, I assume, and he had no security as far as I could tell.
When Nick Clegg was Deputy Prime Minster I walked past him and his family by the river in Richmond - there was one guy with them who was clearly security but no more than that as far as I could see.

Speaking of Boris, I was reminded of an experience from someone on Twitter who spotted Mr Johnson at the Globe a while back, watching Simon Godwin's Richard II. This had me snickering a lot:
