I sat next to Andrew Lloyd Webber late into the London Aspects of Love run, still one of my favourite ALW musicals. In the interval he talked about Sunset Boulevard that he was working on: talk about a teaser!
After the performance I told him how much more I preferred "There is more to love" as a duet between Rose and Giulietta, rather than just as a solo of Giulietta.

Mark Strong at The Kid Stays in the Picture last night. I feel his wife may have noticed my intense interest in her husband - whoops. But I mean what's not to like...

There was an Angels in America outing at the Almeida tonight for Dickie Beau's Re-Member Me with Andrew Garfield, Nathan Lane and Denise Gough. Ian McKellen and Fiona Shaw were also there. Not bad for one night!

Last Thursday's Almeida Hamlet saw Rupert Graves and Sir Ian McKellen a few rows from me. Mr McKellen even stayed for the Q&A.

I saw Ballroom Bill Turnbull and Alistair Campbell at Madam Butterfly on Thursday. Not together, that would be weird. Bill was being very hand holdy with (I assume) his wife. Alistair Campbell was sitting a couple of seats in front of me and spent the interval talking politics with someone behind him, and was whisked off backstage as soon as it finished.

He was on This Week on Thursday night, which they certainly make out is live? Would he have got to Westminster by 11.45?

It'd certainly go some way to explaining why parsley never seems to pay for tickets, and also believes her(?) time to be too valuable to waste on the second half of a show she(?) isn't enjoying...
