I have to admit to loving the sheer awfulness of the show but I do want to know if the school is a genuine stage school with a reputation or if it's just been created for the show?
Are the two heads of the school (Dippy and Dodo) real people in the industry or just actors? I do love the tannoy work btw.

Hi Ryan
It's a real school, charging real money. I refuse to watch it but the principals are also real.
They are treading a fine line between what is appropriate behaviour and what is not and all for TV!

The episode the other night where they "interviewed" Betty whatshername for a place in the school. Betty read something off a piece of paper, badly, and the two teachers cooed about how great she was and how much she'd bring to the school and offered her a place. The script appears to have been written by a child.

The next reality TV show will follow a group of talentless people as they compete to put together a script for a reality TV show. At no point will the show derive any entertainment from the self-referential irony, or even demonstrate awareness of it.

I hate the show, but a guy on it (Durone Stokes) is in the cast of Dreamgirls, so obviously the training is of some standard. I wish that's what we got to see, as opposed to them all attending a stage school coming secondary to all the "drama", "bitchiness" and "back-stabbing".

Yes on the 3 1/2 episodes I watched Durone was the most likeable of them all. I also seem to recall that one of the girls is in Lazarus but I don't know who off the top of my head...
