Just saw that this morning. Unfortunately things like this are happening a lot more. I remember something similar happening at the Opera House down the road in Manchester. A group of older women came in and had obviously already got a bit merry but then proceeded to drink out of flasks in their bags for the show. As it went on they got rowdier and rowdier to the point they were being abusive to anyone who complained. At the end they even tried to get on the stage. The poor ushers couldn't control them! Surprised they lasted the show without being kicked out to be honest. It astounds me how people think they can behave and think it's acceptable.

I've experienced abusive behaviour at the Palace in the past. When watching Priscilla a girl behind threatnened to punch one of my mates after he pointed out to her in the interval that he'd come to listen to the show not her singing along.

Ok here's a new one on me and maybe a first for the thread. Young person next to me at The Tempest today, I'd already had to ask her to stop talking and then got glared at when I asked her to turn her phone off
10 minutes from the end she started ferreting in her handbag, turned out she had an urgent need to reapply her makeup. Fair enough, important to look your best while sitting in the dark
And I bet she was on a free ticket

At 'Murder Ballad' the other day a dark haired woman slap bang in the middle of the stalls took her phone out mid show and just blatantly took a picture of Ramin. And as if to make matters worse - get this - it was a part where he was FULLY CLOTHED. I'll just never understand some people.

LOL. I've asked a few women to turn the mobiles off, one was just staring at me like she was in a trance........she soon awoke from it when another women threw half her wine over her. I think its fair to say she got the message.

Someone at the Park Theatre had a phone that flashed when it rang. It went off mide act 2, even from the upstairs section it's so small in there everyone could see it.

Not bad behaviour, just something I thought strange. And as we don't yet have a Strange Behaviour at a Show thread, I thought I'd post it here.
A while ago I went to a show (not in London) and bought a ticket for the front row (I like it there). I went into the auditorium just before the show started, and as I walked up to my seat I saw there was what looked like a coat on it. I presumed it belonged to the people in the row behind, so I stood there thinking they would move it when they realised it was my seat. They didn't. I asked them if it was theirs. They said no. I was just about to get my ticket out to check I was definitely at the right seat (even though I knew I was) when a lady appeared from a few rows back having a bit of a chunter "I didn't think anyone would be sat here" and moved the coat to the side of the stage. I just thought it very strange that someone would expect to leave their coat anywhere other than under their own seat or on an empty seat next to them, not a few rows away!!

At Miss Saigon this afternoon some old biddy had her phone on with that setting where the camera flash strobes instead of it ringing. Marvellous idea for the hard of hearing but not in a cinema please dear.

Everytime I've see Les Mis there has been someone getting there phone out. I stopped a guy (who sat next to me) taking photos of the show by saying loudly 'Do you mind?'. My first time I sat front row of stalls had an older guy sat next to me who hummed to all the songs but was compelled to sing along to 'Do You Hear the People Sing?' & 'One Day More'. The guy on the other side fell asleep & got up to leave right as Jeremy Secomb began 'Star'. 2 women sat behind me and chatted while someone on the 2nd row decided to crunch up a plastic water bottle.
When I saw Urinetown I was in 2nd row right in front of a family. About 10 mins in the mother whipped out her knitting. Yep right in front of the actors.
At Phantom last Saturday my first ever visit the guy sitting next to me checked his phone every 6-10mins!!
A LOT of people just can't wait for the interval to chat - or worse give running commentry through the show.
My only trip to Titanic was ruined by two teenage girls chatting through most of the first half.

I forgot one, at my first visit to Exposure the Musical which wasn't full Row C was packed but A & B wasn't. So 2 blokes & a woman sat next to me. The guy sitting right next to me as it starts, cheers. The first big dance number he continues to yelp(cheer). He does this several times commenting on what's happening to the two next to him. He also taking swigs of the drink he's got which you hear the ice rattling around. About 20 mins in to the show he drank his drink you just hear a crunch. He's decided to eat the ice. So every few minutes for a while you hear crunching. That is until he take a gulp of ice and starts coughing. Honestly I sat there and giggled. I'm not proud of it but yeah I did. Needless to say I took up residency in row B at the interval.

Everyone does that though don't they? I thought it was expected. Like when they sing "Will you join in our crusade?, Who will be strong and stand with me?" you're supposed to stand up, cry out "I'm with you Enjolras!" and wave a giant flag. Aren't you? Just me then?

I asked the adult with them if they could take them off during the interval as they were a distraction and got a tirade of abuse in return!

They must have seen them surely? Dont tell me they were actually selling them at the theatre?

No, there's only the official Disney/CM merchandise being sold. And I am FoH... The bangles couldn't be seen from the back of the auditorium, it wasn't until I was walking down with the ice creams in the interval that I spotted them.

Just me then? I had a flag when I went to the Les Mis vs Phantom football match. Quite happily screamed and sang along to bits of songs that were played - waved my flag. But paying 70 quid for a seat I want to hear the actors sing in a show. To be honest I can't stand people singing along at gigs either. One time paid 40 quid to see this band only to have my friend sing along to all the songs wildly out if tune.

I saw Spamilton yesterday, which is at a fairly small cabaret venue, The Triad. (The show was very funny.) During one song, one of the standbys was standing in a corner filming, probably for the performer (I think he had just started) or for general work reference, but she didn't even turn the brightness down! If you're going to do that, turn it down!

The girl was enjoying one bit and her band flew off onto the floor behind and my foot accidentally kicked it away. Whoops....

Someone took a photo during the FILM of Miss Saigon today! Did they use flash, on account of it being dark? But of course, to ensure maximum annoyance to everyone else!
