I'm curious because I haven't seen a thread like this before on the forum before and it's something I find really interesting, what are your 5 favourite musicals of all time?
I'll start it off with mine - Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Parade, Bonnie & Clyde, Side Show and Fun Home

Funnily enough, I was thinking of starting a thread similar to this earlier today! Here are mine...
1. Hamilton-Broadway (if you guys hadn't already guessed)
2. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels-West End
3. Something Rotten-Broadway
4. Finding Neverland-Broadway (that's a really controversial one, don't usually tell many people that I like the show so much)
5. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street-London Coliseum

My change loads so I never have a list set in stone.
At the moment its probably:
1) Funny Girl
2) Kinky Boots
3) The Bodyguard
4) Miss Saigon or Hairspray or Legally Blonde
5) Gypsy or Charlie & the Chocolate Factory or Memphis
Basically every show I've seen I've liked. The one that stands out for not liking at all are Bend it like Beckham and I wasn't too keen on Saturday Night Fever either if I'm honest

- Memphis
- Rock of Ages
- Legally Blonde
- Avenue Q
And no, while Wicked is the show I've most often seen, it's not in the actual top 5 (but somewhere between 6 and 10) |

I think my current top 5 are
Titanic/Hamilton/Les Mis/ Miss Saigon and Memphis.
Pretty tough to pick 5 and no doubt the list would be different if I did it next week!!

Made in Dagenham
(Thats not in any order - although Saigon is best thing I've ever seen).
Guys and Dolls and Matilda rotate into my top 5 every so often too.

Possibly the hardest question to answer! My list changes frequently, particularly after I've seen a really good production of a show, and I like different shows for different reasons (sometimes the whole package, sometimes just the score).
The current list is probably (in no particular order):
Les Miserables
The Color Purple
Wicked
Memphis
Rent
And then to make it 10 I'd add
West Side Story
Phantom
Cabaret

Saturday Night Fever: That show got me into musical theatre so it holds a special place in my heart.
Lord of the Rings: I adored that show. Full stop.
In the Heights: I liked it on Broadway but only started to really love it when I saw it at Southwark Playhouse.
Jersey Boys: Yes, it's a jukebox show but I love it.
Once: I still remember watching it for the first time and being completely in awe by how beautiful the whole thing was.

5. Any other ALW though particularly love Sunset Boulevard, Aspects of Love, The Beautiful Game, Whistle Down The Wind, Love Never Dies and Evita.

Oh and out of the jukebox shows the original production or Our House and also Mamma Mia are head and shoulders ahead of the rest for me.
