On BBC4 now a Proms special of Strictly which might be worth a look if you like dancing and live bands.
I've been looking at the Proms schedule to see if they were doing a musicals themed one but can't find one this year.

The Shakespeare prom has the second half devoted to musicals based on Shakespeare - West Side Story, Kiss me Kate and The Boys from Syracuse. I am taking my nephew. There is also a Gershwin prom

I tried watching the Strictly prom but found it very dull.
Higher hopes for the John Wilson Gershwin one; do we know any vocalists performing?

It wasn't as good as I'd hoped and did tune out towards the end. Arh well have the John Wilson one ready on planner to look forward to, fingers crossed as good as other years as still watch a few from years gone by on you tube!!

I was at the Strictly prom last night and it was very good live, decent atmosphere.
Couldn't get tickets for the Gershwin but I have got one for the Shakespeare, looking forward to it!
