But all of the actors are volunteers? I’m confused

So i’m guessing the final drink question has no bearing whatsover on your ballot chances. Just a bit of fun?

Imagine serving up a G&T to satisfy someone's hypothetical statement of what they'd like, only to discover they're actually a teetotal recovering alcoholic. (Not me btw. Just hypothesising.)

You'd be surprised what info they use from your booking that is incorporated into the show!

I'm not involved in this and no way could you describe me as an actor/performer, but I was in scenes 2016 and there are props. *Lots* of props. Use of Telecoms. I don't know what charges are involved in the use of the building but the rates on my old London office (London Bridge) were insane. Presumably Public Liability insurance. There's a mid-evening break where people get food provided by the show. Don't be thinking the fee goes straight into the Producers pockets.

But don’t be thinking the performers you will be watching are getting any pay whatsoever. That’s the key point here. Buy tickets; but know you’re not helping a single one of the actors entertaining you make a living.

And worth keeping in mind no-one is there, working/entertaining, against their will. I had a calendar of dates to pick from. No-one is signing a contract to work against their will.

I saw this when it was at Foyle's ages ago. It was incredibly impressive, but it relies completely on you improvising with the volunteers in multiple situations, which for me was a nightmare. If you like that idea, then you'll love it.
(This is my first post here!)

Nothing here and only one report that I can see over their social media of a positive outcome. So either they're issuing the emails really slowly or the chances are really tiny.

If anyone was successful and no longer wants their ticket please send me a message! Similarly if you do buy and then can't go, same! Thanks

I'm happy with ballots, but with a couple of provisos:
- it should be one shot per punter; - successful applicants in one ballot should have a few years of purdah before they're allowed to enter subsequent ballots, to give others a go.
I don't think YMBBT deliver on either of those.

I also got the email that I was unsuccessful, they asked if I am interested in being a volunteer, can anyone explain what that would entail? (I have no clue what this show is, signed up for the ballot on a whim, please enlighten me?) Thank you!

Also unsuccessful, the couple of friends I induced to apply to their bewilderment also got rejected. I have to congratulate YMBBT, I've been trying to go for well over a decade now unsuccesfully. It's probably my biggest failure in life, I can't think of anything I've been wanting to do for longer that I haven't managed to achieve. I'm humbled. Maybe the real bum bum train was learning to live with disappointment.

If it helps any rejected people who are rich, they usually auction off the final performance tickets for charity. I vaguely recall they were going for about £5k last time...
