Announced yesterday to return to the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 6th April 2025.
Also, thought I'd begin a list of potential productions to be nominated (in no particular order);
New Musicals Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 The Devil Wears Prada The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Why Am I So Single? MJ The Musical Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder! Opening Night Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) Mean Girls Your Lie in April Passing Strange Fangirls
Musical Revivals Starlight Express Hello, Dolly! Fiddler on the Roof Kiss Me Kate Oliver!
New Plays Inside No. 9: Stage/Fright Dr. Strangelove Slave Play Fawlty Towers Spirited Away Ballet Shoes The Constituent Shifters Boys from the Blackstuff The Years The Hot Wing King A Tupperware of Ashes Skeleton Crew The Fear of 13
Play Revivals Waiting for Godot Juno and the Paycock Machinal The Real Thing Oedipus (Wyndham's) Oedipus (Old Vic) Romeo and Juliet The Duchess The Merchant of Venice 1936 The Importance of Being Earnest Look Back in Anger Richard II Coriolanus The Grapes of Wrath The Other Place
Not sure if it is all eligible, there's probably lots I'm missing out (especially in the affiliate venues) and I may have put things in the wrong categories (some maybe later moved into Best Entertainment/Comedy/Family etc.), but anything major I've missed out? Or any early predictions?

I think Two Strangers was eligible last year. Would expect Spirited Away to push for Best Entertainment and follow Totoro’s lead.

I'm not sure on Shifters as it I think would have been eligible for the affiliate last year? The Merchant of Venice 1936 was certainly eligible last year as was Two Strangers. Farm Hall should be eligible as a new play. Otherwise to go on to your list will be the Hampstead slate , the Young Vic dramas (Punch might be an early contender), Buddha Of Suburbia at Barbican, People, Places and Things at Trafalgar maybe, (was the staging any different a la Groundhog Day last year?) Mnemonic at NT, all of Royal Court, Harry Clarke, In fact, I can pull a bunch from my spreadsheet. There are absolutely some errors here and I'll put it in a spoiler tag rather than take some pages but very roughly and sorted by first night.

Shifters wouldn't had enough performances to qualify for the 2024 Awards as it started previews on the 16th February so I think it'll count for 2025 eligibility Shows don't have to have had 30 performances by the cut off date, the panel very occasionally see previews at the tail end of Feb. For 2024 the panel saw The Human Body in previews and Nachtland on press night (last day of eligibility). I don't have it to hand but I'm pretty sure the definition is 'opened' i.e. has had a press night. SOLT use to publish a list of shows eligible, they didn't last year but here is the 2023 list. I wish they'd do it every year.
