Bringing her A LIFE IN NOTES show over on 16th February.
An ACTUAL concert, instead of these bizarre musical revival concert one offs!

I’d be interested to see this, though most of the material is not show tunes and reviews have been rather mixed, I think.
The last time Patti did a concert in London (at the Leicester Square Theatre around 2015), the concert was all show tunes and it was fantastic. She was very relaxed and it was a really enjoyable evening.
Hopefully, the ticket prices won’t be ridiculously high.

Thanks for the info, just saved myself lots of money as I'd only want to see her if she was doing showtunes. Also did anyone see her in Divas at the Donmar years ago? I even got a signed photo but Lord knows where it is now.

I think she only sings 3 or 4 of her main show tunes in this upcoming concert : I Dreamed a Dream, Ladies Who Lunch, Some People and Argentina. There may be a Cole Porter and Rodger’s/Hammerstein song (if I remember correctly). Most are not show tunes though - unfortunately! I shall still go (but only if the prices are reasonable).

What was the concert with the online clip where the gays were screaming for something from Sunset Boulevard and she finally did the right thing and gave them what they wanted?!
I’d go if I thought she might do that again but I know she won’t!

Patti sang very well and was very relaxed during her interactions with the audience. The concert was ‘hosted’ by Seth Rudetsky.

I saw her in War Paint and Company too. I enjoyed her performances in both, though I thought War Paint was quite a weak show overall (despite good performances from both LuPone and Ebersole). Company was a very enjoyable show all-round.

Was that the one with I think Jonathan Pryce and Gavin Creel being pulled from the audience to sing? I couldn't remember the year but that show was a dream.

Yes, they both sang at the Saturday evening performance (which was the one I was at). I think it was all a bit impromptu (sort of). The guy who was playing Magaldi on the UK tour at that time also sang part of the Evita score with Patti. I remember that Roger Allam was also in the audience, but he chose not to perform at the concert. It was Patti’s best concert performance for me.

She's got a voice that could break the sound barrier, she'll be just fine on that stage

I may see this anyways because Patti singing In My Life by the Beatles is something I never knew I wanted

Patti will have no problem projecting to the entirety of the Coliseum, you’ll most likely hear her halfway down the street. I wouldn’t have her any other way.

I wonder, and it's just a thought, if someone like Cadogan Hall might have been a better choice of venue.
It would certainly make it a bit more intimate.
Again, just a thought.

She's Patti LuPone. This would sell out Drury Lane, Palladium or Coli.
You'd need 3 Cadogan Hall concerts to cover one of those venues. - besides didnt she do this at Carnegie Hall?!

They like her more in America. Will be interesting seeing how sales go post the company stint over here but the Leicester square theatre shows were not sell outs but would expect a lot of American gentlemen will be flying over for this.

Tickets are VERY expensive for this! Even the Upper Circle is close to £100. The presale has loads of fees tacked on and no ability to select your own seat so I’ll be waiting for the general on sale via the Coli tomorrow, hoping the members haven’t taken all the good seats! Happy to pay £150 for this if that’s what it takes but not paying £15 in fees just to be guaranteed tickets a day earlier…
