This looks good fun. With a number of songwriter contributors they've managed to get this underway in quick time for Edinburgh Fringe.
Pushing it further to being the cause of the end of the world is original too - when you're a kid crushed hopes do feel like that; and when you're a parent £35 down per ticket!

Stamos is pretty famous here in the States. He starred on TV in “Full House” as Uncle Jesse in the 90s. In Broadway, he’s done “The Music Man”, “Bye Bye Birdie”, “Cabaret”, “How to Succeed in Business…”, “The Best Man” and “Nine”, so he’s pretty respected here on stage, as well.

He’s possibly best known in the UK for starring in the last few series of ER.

"World premiere staged reading"! 😂 What wimps - declaring that up front. They could have hidden it and disappointed everyone in the style of the original Scottish Willy's Chocolate Experience.

I may be wrong, but hasn’t this hilarity about this situation come and gone at this point? Also could it be any funnier/shocking than the real event?

Is this still likely to be on at the fringe as today was the main day for the full fringe programme to be announced? I guess some can be added later.

E-mailed Pleasance and got a reply: “Willy's Candy Spectacular is due to go on sale with us within the next few days but isn't available to purchase for just yet.”

Cast includes the actors who played Veruca Salt (from 9 to 18 August) and Mike Teevee (from 19 to 26 August) in the Gene Wilder film as the narrator.
Plus the Oompa Loompa from the Glasgow experience, Kirsty Paterson
