This was performed in an incredibly intimate setting, which really suited the play, and the lighting effects do a fantastic job in creating a compelling atmosphere at every stage of the production (Jack Weir is the lighting designer).
The play tells the story of the relationship of two men, Julius and Connor. It shifts backward and forwards in time to include when they first met and their wedding. It quickly becomes clear that there are differing memories of events, as one day is repeated again and again. To avoid spoilers, I am not going to say any more than that...
There is clear chemistry between the two leads and I thought Nick Hayes who plays Julius was particularly strong.
However, I wasn't entirely convinced by the play itself, at moments the script became a little repetitive as the same Monday was played out again and the issues raised didn't feel that fresh to me, but perhaps someone less familiar with the issues would find it more original. But despite this, there were some effective scenes with poignant moments.
