Does anybody know if this was ever filmed on Broadway or (I'm assuming no, because of its very short run) in the West End?
It was a beautiful piece of theatre.

I wish that it had been. That show was a remarkable piece that moved me to tears every time I saw it (twice on Bway, once on tour and twice in London).
They were mistaken by putting in the Apollo Victoria which swallowed the show whole. They should have done an engagement at Sadler's Wells and then transfered it to a reasonable space that will big enough to hold the show but not so big that the auditorium would take away its intimacy.

Yes. It would have sat beautifully somewhere like the Piccadilly. I think from memory they took that awkward gap after Starlight closed when Bombay Dreams ended before Wicked went in. I saw a matinee which had only a few hundred people watching.
