I saw this tonight in Oberhausen, to see Willemijn. It was mostly the same as the English version, main difference being that Raven did the opening monologue which I felt didn't work as well. Not sure why they did that. A few things I'm wondering now if they were different, maybe I only noticed this because I was paying more attention to Willemijn. Sloane came in during Heaven Can Wait, she was also there just after Tink got shot and seems to be more prominent during You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth with one of the Lost girls teaching her to dance. I remember Sloane being in that scene but not centre stage. Also no flying bike All fun though, nice to see it again.

Do they perform any other Steinman songs, apart from Body?

Do they perform any other Steinman songs, apart from Body? I saw the show at Zedel last month, and it was just WPOMBHTM but I believe they did a few more from Bat at the Peterborough gig after that. It was brilliant though, and having the backstory helped make sense of some of the stuff in Bat (hard to explain). We booked as soon as we heard tickets went on sale tonight as we enjoyed the last one so much.

Do they perform any other Steinman songs, apart from Body? I went to the Peterborough gig and they did maybe 4/5 songs from Bat. I have a terrible memory so can't remember which ones exactly, but I know they did Good Girls and Georgia and Simon did a couple of the other Raven/Strat duets. Just Won't Quit is on Sharon and Rob's album so they sing that too and Body obviously. It's a really fun evening, I'd reccommend it. Also while we're posting Bat news, it appears to be closing in Oberhausen as a new show is going into that theatre in the autumn.

Was there ever a definitive yes/no on BAT touring? Would love to see it again.

I haven't seen it mentioned here, but there is word circulating on the Broadway World message board that the eight week New York run has been cancelled, with rumours ranging from ticket sales to financial issues behind the scenes. No offical confirmation or anythjng yet, but a huge shame if true.

No offical confirmation or anythjng yet, but a huge shame if true. It wouldnโt surprise me, as the preceding dates that were left from the old tour were cancelled recently too.

Alas there was very little expectation of it happening. Poor viserys planned a whole trip around it and now she has to go and watch people that arenโt Andrew Polec sing other stuff with their tops ON! โน๏ธ๐ฆ๐ฅ
Nobody wants to pay for it in unfortunately.

Alas, indeed. Maybe I can persuade Andy Karl to take his top off at Pretty Woman at least That said, I hear it's not entirely dead yet, so who knows.

It simply MUST tour in the UK.The Steve Steinman/Vampires Rock tribute act thingy has toured successfully for 20 years non-stop so there must be an audience out there. It might have to be scaled down somewhat, sadly, but it deserves to be given a chance.

If it toured the UK it'd have to do a proper like month sit in at each venue because touring that set would be a nightmare, and for alot of people, the set was the best part of the show.

I do know if it tours, my credit card will probably give up the ghost because with Joseph this summer and then with a possible Bat tour that would break me!
(Iโd still book as many dates as I could, I miss this show so, so much)

In theory...but Young has told me that they want to do any date that I do, so 1 ticket becomes 2, 1 train fare 2 etc. Not that I really mind, I love that they love theatre so much ๐
