Merrily We Roll Along 25 September 2024–28 September 2024 Abbey theatre St Albans £22 no concessions
I'm guessing it's amateur.

Two more in the rarely performed category.
Soho Cinders at Redbridge Drama Centre, South Woodford from Thurs 14 -Sun 17 November.
Witches Of Eastwick at High Wycombe Arts Centre from Wed 20 - Sat 23 November.
I've booked both, been waiting to see a staged production of Witches... for years.

The Color Purple by sedos is half sold out in one day - anyone else planning on going to see it? Yes booked as soon as it went on sale in order to get my preferred front row seat - only five available as the right hand side of row A is accessible seating not bookable online. Latecomers or crew usually sit there. Not only do SEDOS put on amateur production of the highest quality, Color Purple didn't make it to London in its last professional production so not seen on stage in London for a decade. I'd expect a sell out. Looks like it’s completely sold out already - I know of a couple friends who missed out on tickets.

Are there any big shows that are being released to amateur groups this year? Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is being performed by BMOS in June at the Alexandra, Birmingham, which I believe will be the first for that show.

By way of update - Belfast, Glasgow, Swansea, Nottingham and Leeds are already on sale. Belfast and Glasgow too far to go for me but just booked the other three. Prices approx £32 Swansea, £42 Nottingham and £52 Leeds for front row at the matinees I've booked, good availability and plenty of seats at lower prices for all venues and performances at present. Planning to book the other six when on sale.

An absolutely shameless plug for the area premiere of "Parade", directed by myself and playing in Ipswich for 8 shows starting from the end of next week...
