If only they hadn't already sold the naming rights to some bloke called William Shakespeare, whoever he is.

Most seat sponsoring schemes tend to have an expiry date, these days at any rate - eg the Southbank centre says "Plaques are in place for ten years, after which we will get in touch with you to ask whether you wish to renew your message". Sounds like the Globe should have had a similar statement in their original fundraising campaigns.
And in other news - apparently the website has completely melted down during friends' priority booking today.

Yeah I saw their tweets. I wonder how big their membership is and how much pressure the site has come under. Only thought the other day that is one site that is normally painless once I've remembered my login but may have thought that too soon.

Did not experience any issues this morning, worked fine and able to book everything I wanted in my usual seating area.
Did the usual NT Procedure, log in prior to 10:00 and refresh regularly, think I may have got access a few minutes before 10:00. All 10 Shakespeare Plays booked along with a trip to the Abbey.

I'm quite possibly the only person on twitter who managed to book everything they wanted painlessly today! I logged in at 9.58am as I wanted Shakespeare in the Abbey tickets and knew there would be high demand for these. Am doing the Sonnet Walk West the following morning (I alternate which route I do each year).
Also have AYLI, Hamlet, Winter's Tale, Othello and Eyam booked. Will look at the rest once I know work schedules.

Twitter reports the Abbey stuff is completely sold out so that's some money saved then I guess.

I had a look about 20 minutes ago and there was still some availability for the Westminster Abbey event.

How sweet. They had a nursery day and made a wood block.

Now the tickets are on public sale they seem to be impossible to get. The website says it is at full capacity but it is a bit annoying that they do not have a queuing system online like the NT so you just have to keep refreshing the page. It also doesn't help that me and what seems to be the rest of London want tickets to Othello. I am not very hopeful i will get a ticket but you would think that they would imagine how much demand they would have so would make it easier to geta ticket.

I managed to buy an Othello ticket at 9.50 this morning. Perhaps links on some pages became active earlier than others.

I'm not even bothering yet. I don't want particular seats, I'll want the yard for everything I see, so after the reports of Friends booking chaos, I figure it's worth waiting until I get home this evening. I'll be ASTONISHED if any of my performances of choice sell out on the first day of booking!

No opening booking the night before to past buyers as in previous years, seems missed opportunity to get some people through in advance. Site crashed before ten for me, dreamt I'd booked tickets, def wishful dreaming.

Just managed to get on after an hour of error messages.
Went for Two Noble Kinsmen as it's something I've not seen before. Lots of seats available for the early June shows I looked at.

There's probably only good availability because their useless booking system won't let anyone buy them. I think now the Almeida system is somewhat improved this must be the worst of the lot.

Best avoid the £62 tickets.

Just got in and did speed booking in case site crashed though actually booking once in very smooth. Only had brief look but if you're still trying tickets available for all things, one date/time sold out for Abbey thing, 2 on limited availability. Right now need to forget how much spent.
