me, too - got exactly what I wanted. Guess Rami Malek isn't that much of a draw, despite winning an Oscar. Nothing compared to the fuss around Tom Spider-Man Holland for sure! He isn't the draw for me. I've never seen the play before so there's that, but mostly it's Indira Varma. Been a fan of her on screen work for a while so seemed a great opportunity to see her on stage. The West End Oedipus cast doesn't appeal as much. Same, I'm going for Indira. Been a fan for years and whilst she's great on screen, she is incredible on stage.

Actually she's the main draw for me, too. She was out the night I went to see that steaming pile of seagull poo Jamie Lloyd cooked up and while I had a ticket for the most recent Macbeth, I ended up not going. So third time lucky.
But I thought "Oscar winner Rami Malek of Bohemian Rhapsody fame" would have been a bigger draw as such.

Oscars (in fact awards in general) don't seem to mean much these days. In fact they often seem to kill actors careers.
I think if this was just after his win and the movie hype was still around it might be different. But he isn't very current, and he doesn't have the crazy fanbase that Tom has (not even marvel fans, he has a harry styles level of fangirls)

The mobile signal in work is pretty much non-existent but managed to get on the website for 10, and had booked within 40 minutes. Wish it was that way for everything.

OV showing stage stalls for this with the set-up looking very similar to The Constituent and rows A through E not on sale. No sign of stage stalls being on sale, anyone know more by any chance? Will be away when this goes to PWC Preview sale so looking to get it booked in.

Will be away when this goes to PWC Preview sale so looking to get it booked in. I don't think there are stage stalls being used. I think it's just the current set up for the OV booking system for Constituent and Christmas Carol. The Real Thing has stage stalls on the booking page bit they are also unavailable. I've a hunch more stalls rows will be added for Oedipus closer to the rehearsal period as this has happened with other productions.

I wonder if they're just not using those first few rows. As I recall, they didn't for the Electra with Kristin Scott-Thomas and Jack Lowden.

Just noticed the dance company Hofesh Shechter is involed in this production. Hurrah.
As i feel priced out of the West End production and perhaps deluded, i am sure this is going to be the better production
