I was uhmming and ahhing, but I'll just pay the petrol prices and go see it in Chichester. £195!? Yup, I'm booked in twice for three people in 3rd/4th row stalls in Chichester for just over the price of one single highest ticket price for London. |

I got tickets in the boxes in the grand circle (box F I think) for me and my mum (her fave musical and she's never seen it), 85 each which is tonnes more than what I'd normally pay...anyone sat in these seats before? Will it be worth it?!

I'm drowning in marketing blurb for "Oliver" in London. Is it not selling as well as they hoped? Are the prices too high and are people starting to vote with their feet and wallets? Or is it simply the Cameron Mackintosh marketing juggernaut rolling into action once more?

I'm drowning in marketing blurb for "Oliver" in London. Is it not selling as well as they hoped? Are the prices too high and are people starting to vote with their feet and wallets? Or is it simply the Cameron Mackintosh marketing juggernaut rolling into action once more?
It only went on general sale this morning so I imagine just the usual marketing stuff.

Hope we get a new recording of this I have a great fondness for the 2009 Palladium recording. Jodie Prenger really was a fantastic Nancy, both on the recording and when I saw it in person. I remember so vividly how ALW couldn't hide his preference for pretty much any other of the potential Nancy's on I'd Do Anything, but Prenger was almost perfect in my opinion! |

Oh Cameron was definitely as you say, but one of my main memories of that finale was John Barrowman leaping for joy and ALW looking less than thrilled during Jodie's winning performance. And Graham asking for his thoughts and him going "yeah, the people's Nancy, that was always going to be the people's choice I thought...". A bit of shade there I felt! |

Just a heads up for anyone with kids ordering tickets for Chichester.
For every adult ticket, you can get three U-16 tickets for half price.
This is only available for the 3 top tiers though.

Anyone here who goes to see an evening show in Chichester. How do you get back to London. Is it doable? The last train looks like 10ish and takes hours.

My friend who lives near me is driving down to it and I live east of East London, and it takes about 2 hours. I couldn't imagine getting the train to it. From central London it's about 2 hours down by train I think on Southern Rail. That's if the Southern Rail turns up in the first place  |

The handful of times I did it when living in London I'd usually just end up booking the Travelodge down there. Splitting with a friend it was about £30 each and an early train would have me in Victoria in about 1 hr 40 minutes. An additional expense I know not everyone can add to their trip but always took away a huge amount of the stress for me. |

I live just outside Chichester and regularly do the journey the other way to see London shows... often sprinting for the last train 😬 |
