Stick some sideburns and a beadle’s hat on him and he’ll be fine. Googled him to see how old he is, not really expecting to find an answer. First thing that came up were several news stories about him having just split up with his boyfriend… Sir Ian McKellen. Was not expecting that. 😲 Anyway, he’s 30. I did the exact same. They met when they appeared in Mother Goose together apparently.

I really can't fathom sleeping with somebody old enough to be my grandfather.
Larry Lamb being the exception, of course.

Thru should have just cast Joel Montague as Mr. Bumble. Mr. Bumble should be a bit thick unless it’s being reconceptionalized Ouch! That wasn't said to be nasty....In my opinion, I just think Mr. Bumble shouldn't be young and skinny...simple as that...

Am hearing that casting is still ongoing for this. It does seem that despite wanting to take the show back to its’ original stripped back conception, they are casting very young which robs the show of those wonderful Dickensian characters, especially Bumble, Corney and the Sowerberrys. I bet CM is making all the decisions re casting, which implies that MB will be director in name only, which will be a great shame.

Although I agree I don't think that's what was meant this time.

Have heard another rumour that CM wants to take this back its’ original home, the New Theatre (aka the Noel Coward) I was sure someone mentioned Cameron wanting to do that when talk of this production began on here a few months back so was a bit surprised when there was no more talk of it.

I thought Shucked was going to the Noel Coward? Or have things changed?

I thought Shucked was going to the Noel Coward? Or have things changed? Is that still happening? Seems to have gone quiet on that since the vague original announcement.

It makes more sense for the Gielgud - why open a family Dickensian musical AFTER Christmas?

No one should doubt Mr B... Are you hearing October-November? Are you Barnaby’s mum? hahaha...of course not but i just call out bad treatment when I see it....people are just not nice to him when he gives us scoops that usually pan out. There are people who no longer post here because they weren't treated well by other posters.
