I wonder what they will do in terms of the staging, as the West End one is scaled down a fair bit for the UK Tour. Will the house return?

Yeah I assumed that too... I hope that house does return though. I hold hope haha.
It will be very interesting to see this in a huge theatre like the Dominion... but this is the best news of the day regardless! My bank account is gonna be screwed but it must be one haha!

Hard work booking this if you especially want to see Beverley! So she is off the dates listed above and only does 6 shows a week? It will take me hours of research!!! Then you just have to hope she is not off sick!!!

Does it say anywhere which scheduled days she has off a week and her alternate does? Is it the same as tour where it's both matinee's or like she had in memphis where she didn't do one night and the midweek mat (wasn't it?)

All her dates can be found at the bottom of this page. Other than the holiday dates booked, she does not perform the Monday evening or the Wednesday matinee... so she will be at all other performances bar illness. www.dominiontheatre.com/theatre/bodyguard/

Very surprised, someone is writing a hefty pay cheque to get Beverley back.
Saw this twice with Heather Headley and only saw this a second time, as another got cancelled, so had only 10 minutes to get a ticket for something else. Like the songs, but wasn't inspired by the show. But saying that a Beverley came in and the box office went crazy and people said that there was a good reason that the box office went crazy, as Beverley was superb and gave a career defining performance. But alas I missed her play Whitney. But did see her several times in Memphis and she was excellent and a couple of times in Cats, where she put her on interpretation on the piece, to great effect.
However I will suffer the Bodyguard again, as Heather makes this worth while.

Been getting a headache trying to book a date when Beverley is on...thought I managed it with 28th September, then I reread all the dates and turns out she's off...so I booked again for the final night, she's bound to be on then.

Those who are not aware, other than Frank, who will be announced soon I assume, the cast for the London run, according to London Theatre Guide, will include:
Beverley Knight (Rachel Marron), Carole Stennett (alternate Rachel Marron), Rachel John (Nicki Marron), Mark Holden (Bill Devaney), Alex Andreas (Tony), Dominic Taylor (Sy Spector), Matthew Stathers (Stalker) and Glen Fox (Ray Court). Ensemble members are Faye Best, Pablo Ceresuela Torres, Carlos Ugarriza Crespo, Lisa Darnell, Charles Hagerty, Emma Joy Hopkins, Ibinabo Jack, Christopher Jeffers, Verity Jones, Phoebe Liberty, Raul Naranjo Garcia, Mary Lynn Tiep, Michael Wade-Peters, Matthew Wesley, Emmy Willow and Mark Willshire.
Will be great to see Rachel John be a regular performer in the show, and also see Carole, who was amazing as Nicki when I saw her with both Beverley and Alexandra last time round.

So happy this is back And it will be nice that we can have more time to plan to see Rachel John as Rachel, as well. Something tells me the dancing will be stripped back (though Beverley really is into challenging herself as she danced in Cats..so maybe the dancing won't be pulled back after all!). Otherwise, I hope they reinstate the Mozart bit in Queen of the Night!

Didn't she dance a bit in Memphis?

Memphis wasn't very dance heavy for her role though as far as I remember? And didn't she leave the stage before the dancing got too complex in Cats, so she only done the very beginning of the first number? I only ask as I didn't see her in that role. That said, I hope they challenge her and she does dance more.

danieljohnson14 Yes, she does leave early before the heavy dancing. Re: the house, the German production is exactly like the UK tour, but they do have the original house as they did in London. So maybe they'll bring back the house. Honestly, I miss the "Say Yes" scene with the stalker. It was truly a mood setter and totally creepy. But I think book wise, the show will remain identical to the UK tour with Greatest Love Of All replacing "Say Yes".

See i never found the show creepy, nor the stalker creepy. I did but not in a serious way. Literally nobody in the audience found him or the 'creepy' moments anything other than just really good fun to be honest. It all felt a bit to cheesy and hammy for that in my opinion, which i'm hoping is the idea?

I hope the Stalker number is brought back too.
I haven't seen the UK Tour but if it is the same role as the London production, it makes the performance of the Stalker a very small role to not have that number too, and also, this may sound weird, but it is a very sexy number!
And the stage at the Dominion is massive, so I do hope they add a bit more set than the UK Tour, it would be a waste of the huge stage

Not weird at all, it was a very sexy number indeed and made the Stalker's presence more insidious.

Agreed... it made that character a lot more menacing too, you really saw in that number just how obsessed he is with Rachel... and he is topless too, always a plus haha!

Well, I've seen some stalkers that should have kept their shirts on, but that's another story

Cinderella as in panto or Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella? Sorry I should've been clearer! Panto School of Rock is opening at the Palladium in the autumn - so there won't be a Palladium panto (Cinderella or otherwise....)
