Did *not* see that coming!!! But so happy I will get a chance to see Beverley Knight in the role - she's the one I regretted missing the most!

I am excited by this, I treated her last run as Beverley sings Whitney concert and ignored her slightly ropey accent BUT she has gained a lot of experience since 2013 so will look forward to seeing it again!

Nederlander co-produced the show with David Ian and Michael Harrison when it was at the Adelphi so I guess having a show they produced makes sense.
I assume something is planned for the Dominion in 2017. Baz and Matt Hemley from The Stage were tweeting each other earlier this week about School of Rock not going to the Palladium anymore and Baz subtly suggested somewhere near Charing Cross Road which may suggest that the Dominion may be getting it instead.

Can honestly say I was not expecting that bit of casting... although I can't really imagine her with the new Queen of the Night staging at all

If I can get a VERY cheap ticket, I will see it purely for Beverley. Seen the show once and that was more than enough.

I wonder what's happening with The Palladium then? Surely they don't just want concerts and events. Can only assume something bigger is coming along there? Can't think what but still...

Can't think what but still... it wouldn't be the first time a ALW musical has not gone into one of his theatres, Stephen Ward was at the Aldwych. Wasn't Charlie and the Chocolate Factory booked at the Palladium for groups for a while before they switched to Drury Lane before tickets went on general release?

BEST NEWS EVER!!! So ecstatic! I wasn't crazy about her generally in London, but her singing was fab. And there's always an alternate And an understudy to stalk. But yes, can't imagine her with the new Queen of the Night outfit or staging. Or any of the new dance-heavy staging. Let's see!

Hmmm, I never got a chance to see Bev in the Bodyguard, so this is intriguing if I find myself with a spare slot over my various London trips. However I am seeing Nev in concert in July where no doubt she'll be knocking out a few Whitney claasics, so I'll have probably already seen the best bits there.
I'll consider.

Didn't see Beverley in the Bodyguard so I will be hopefully be seeing this. A good show for the Dominion I would have thought. It was a show that did what it said on the tin - if that makes sense - which I enjoyed. You have to be a fan of the music obviously!
Off topic - thrilled to have a London Palladium panto back! Any more details?

Can't be doing the tour sales any good! That's 3 or 4 people just on here now said they won't bother with the tour and wait for London. Mind you it seems to have already sold well everywhere so might not make an impact.

It's sold extremely well. Don't think they will be fussed loosing a few sales, not many tour venues remaining.
Be great to see Rachel John back in the West End.

Nicki understudies will be Emmy Willow and possibly Ibinabo Jack not sure who is first cover tho, personally I'm hoping for Emmy since I've missed the few Nicki shows she's had so far
