I was at the theatre 45 minutes before they opened, and my how things have changed since the Adelphi! I was practically the only one seeking day seats even at 10am. Beverley is scheduled to be back on tonight according to the Box Office. The woman is a beast, I'm sure she made her full recovery in the last couple of days. I've seen her do her concert, which she practically did back to back on tour, and have seen her several times in the Bodyguard and though the BG songs and demands aren't walk in the park, she really stretches herself far more in her concert, which is why I think she has such a good track record in BG. As far as I know this was the first case of a reported non-scheduled absence.

I think she only had one bout of sickness at the Adelphi as both her and Tristan had the same thing as that's when I saw Carole for the first time. Tbf Alexandra had a good track record as far as I'm aware there were only three occasions when she went off sick

God I am a lucky soul going to the theatre... saw this the day before Beverley croaks, saw Funny Girl the day before Sheridan's breakdown, saw Curious Incident the day before the roof collapse! I can't tell if I am a bad omen for a show or just selfish but lucky! Fancy going to Thriller anytime soon? or perhaps Motown? Well thats the issue, every show that it has gone tits up at are shows that I love! So maybe I should head over to Thriller!

Anybody know if Beverley comes out to stage door after a matinee? I've been told she doesn't, but obviously that can change

Saw this tonight. Beverley improved a lot acting wise since her days in London. This is actually my first time I see Rachel as Nikki, she had some good moments, she had some okay moments, but the singing was fabulous.
Ben Richards... What the heck? Is he or the producers serious? That is historically one of the dullest performances I've seen in my life. I understand that Frank needs to be reserved, if not conservative, but he seems just to want to play him boring. And the accent is just a bit laughable at how bad it is. Is that supposed to be Italian American? Irish-ish? Yeah, this guy isn't good at all.

Just listened to that audio of Rachel as Rachel which was linked on here earlier. She sounds gorgeous, such a lovely voice. I saw her as Rachel on tour as well as in Memphis. She's just brilliant. Shame she has pretty much no official Rachel dates.

Rachel does have a gorgeous tone! She's as good as Carole and Beverley, in my book.

Carole is not good LOL She was a fabulous Nikki, but you really need to have killer vocals to do Rachel.

Saw this, this afternoon for the first time since seeing it with Alexandra Burke two years ago at the Adelphi - first time with Beverley. Amazing, such a great show! Whitney songs are amazing and you forget how many she did and how good they all were. From what I can remember of the original set, I seem to prefer this one actually! The huge stage of the Dominion is also amazing for a show like this and the set fits it extremely well. Love all the added details they include for the set and I don't think it is "dumbed down" from the original at all! Beverley is amazing in this role, her vocals are amazing! Met her at stage door post show and she was nice and got a picture with me. Glen Fox was on for Frank and he looked really chuffed to finally play the role in London! I was initially disappointed to not be seeing Ben Richards but Glen was still good. Rachel John is fabulous as Nikki and has such a tremendous voice! Let's hope she does some more West End shows soon!! Overall great day out in London seeing this show again and first time at the Dominion, such a lovely theatre! So huge and I love the foyer! It's so nice to see the audience enjoying the show too and, even if they aren't regular theatre goers, I'm so glad that they ad a good time seeing a show. Love it when everybody gets up at the end and seeing people enjoying themselves! Really recommend for a great night out 5 Stars

I saw you at stage door, glad you enjoyed it! So good to have Glen as Frank I prefer him to Ben by miles! Today's mat was also Matthew Wesley's debut as The Stalker

Thinking back to stage door, I saw Rachel John and Ibinabo Jack come out and walk past. Nobody went up to them but I so so so wish I had got a picture with the pair of them. Rachel is amazing and would've loved to have told Ibinabo that I'm seeing Dreamgirls. Just need to do it in the spur of the moment next time!!

Rachel is so SO talented. Can't wait to see what she does next. She was lovely my to my grandma when we went to the stage door of Memphis last year too. I'd be tempted to back and see The Bodyguard again if she was on for Rachel.

Rachel was lovely to me when I saw her at the stage door of Memphis late in the run when she'd taken over as Felicia. I was the only one who asked for her autograph, everyone else was crowding around the door waiting for Matt Cardle.
I've still got everything crossed that she'll get an evening show at some point!

I think it would've been nice if someone had gone up to her at stage door - we were all in a queue for Bev. I'm so annoyed I didn't go up and let her know how amazing she is at signing and acting, I'm sure she would've liked to have heard it. Next time

I've noticed that Beverley seems to have to tweet people occasionally on her planned days off to tell them that it wasn't actually her they saw, after receiving praise for her performance from them, but they actually saw Carole or whoever else. How do some people actually not realise they're not seeing Beverley Knight?!?!

How do some people actually not realise they're not seeing Beverley Knight?!?! I think exactly the same thing!!

Dopes! I've seen those tweets too.
Obviously very casual Beverley fans, or just clueless.

I assume terrible seats plus some mild racism. I am amazed they don't have neon signs announcing no Beverley for that very reason.

I've only ever seen two paper signs up saying the Carole is Rachel along with a cast list screen (which permanently had the ensemble wrong) when Rachel was on there was only the screen.
On The Bodyguard Facebook page where is a rather amusing 1* review moaning about Beverley not being on as advertised and wanting her money back since the last playing Rachel went off sick half way through

https://www.instagram.com/p/BKm9CAAhHMV Wow, just look at that audience and auditorium. Completely different to when I saw it on Saturday when it was packed out with hardly any seats left and everyone danced at the end. This?! There's so many empty seats and nobody is even dancing!! Fair enough if this is pnt a Bev show and people aren't there because of that but eh should be enjoying themselves in the finale!

A weekday performance isn't likely to be sold out especially in September, i imagine they'll make their running costs from Friday and Saturdays and anything during the week is profit. Also that person really shouldn't be taking photos during the show!

That's really sad. When I have seen it (all 8 times) it has been full house standing ovation and pretty full stalls, if not full stalls.
